@@Wicked_RotF30 I’m interested. You have my attention. I know a guy that does this kind of thing and just got an M5 comp. Can you msg me with more info? Thanks
I'm back. It's been 5 years of a fantastic car. APR stage 1 was so worth it, you'd be a fool not to tune the car if you want some free performance. This car has two sets of injectors so it solved the problem of carbon build up in the intake runners and backs of valves. It also has a clutch on the supercharger to disengage it for excellent fuel economy. The car gets better gas mileage with a tune. I then swapped the pulleys and tuned it to the next level. The car is making 480hp and 430 ft lbs of torque. I flashed the transmission so it would stop shifting at 6200 and rev closer to its new redline of 7400. The car will run 11s. Lots of torque everywhere in a silent but deadly executive express capable of spanking a lot of cars. I used to have multiple cars for racing, transporting a lot of people and one for luxury, This car does it all.
I've seen many reviews of various products(phones, notebooks, cameras, cars, etc.) on youtube and I think your reviews are the most thorough, in depth, and most importantly unbiased of all the reviewers. I can see so much work had to be put into your reviews with all the info and the multiple camera angles(and the tedious editing afterwards). Excellent. Bravo.
I own one for almost 7 years. So far i had no issues, just usual maintenance. I love this car. So much in fact i refuse to sell it. Next year i'm going for a A7 for a second car. Why? Because it looks different but underneath it's still the A6 :D
I purchased a new 2017 A6 competition s-line. No issues, regular maintenance. I don’t plan on parting with it until 2025. I can confidently say it’s the best daily driver I’ve ever owned. It’s a beast in the 🇨🇦 winters.
Awesome review, thanks a lot! This deserves 10 times more views. I love how you go into the details - and only those that matter. Also love that you do a very good job judging everything objectively, doing measurements. A really god job.
Alex, your reviews are really good, but what I also like is that you are always looking to improve them over time. People don't think about how much off camera work this takes, never mind the writing. Like many you could have remained in formula a long time ago, but you didn't, and your reviews really shine for that. Also, FYI, I only frequent TTAC anymore to see your narrative on the cars, and Sajeev and Steve. Ok, Murilee too. Thanks. Would you consider adding an engine sound? It would slot well either after the engine discussion, or after the rear end integrated exhaust discussion. KFox
Definitely one of the best reviews I've watched. Clearly, 'hands above' UA-cam claptrap. This is something I would anxiously enjoy on broadcast. The information was as thorough as I could have expected. Thank you for the refreshing result from your effort. I would not mind even slowing up the pace just a tad as your voice can sustain the longer length and the data would not seem as rushed. An extra 5 or 10 minutes would give ample time to absorb all the data. Lastly, Thank you for showing the features in action. That is something that is sorely missed in today's need to go 'short' on everything. Sometime's bigger and longer is better.
Really love your detailed reviews Alex. I dont think there is any other reviewer, who does such a good job. Also, I have a request for you to review the new 2016 Audi Q7. Keep up the good work :)

Very detailed demo on the instrument cluster. Next week, I should get mine. S-Line Technik with HUD and 20 inch wheels. I'll tune it with APR and go looking for the BMW 535 you mentioned.

Again takes a bit of getting used to. I am not sure of the 2016 models but with 2012. The oil level is checked through the MMI screen so ensure on a level surface. For 2012 at least ECS tuning sells a oil dipstick. There is a blank off plug installed where the dipstick would normally go. 2012 the Quattro and ZF. 8 speed is a definite +2 much improved over the late 2000’s era 6 speed. Interesting that the 5-series is mentioned as as a sort of benchmark in this class as when I test drove it while car shopping a couple of years ago it didn't feel special to me -- maybe I'm not in tune with the BMW magic. Great review! the test car you had is with 20" wheels and sport suspension. Do you think 19" wheels with sport suspension will give better ride comfort? I tested one just like yours and feel the ride is a bit harsh on broken pavement and not sure if 19" will solve the problem.
Not sure why you said you prefer the 2.0 turbo model over the 3.0 Supercharged. Yes less gas mileage with the 3.0T, but you won't have any turbo lag. If you can afford a $60k+ vehicle, then you can pay for slightly less fuel mileage in exchange for instant power IMO!

+Anoop Jacob We tested it on the same course with the same equipment. Audi provided the A6 a dealer provided the 535i xDrive. The 535i was 1/10th faster
+Alex on Autos I guarantee you that your stats are wrong. Audi and BMW even put out stats proving the a6 is faster. Im assuming BMW is slipping you a couple dollars under the table.

I always liked Audis especially the style of the 2006 A6. The car in this video looks good. I just don't like cars that blend in with the Corollas and such, the whole idea behind having something like this is that it stands out in a lot (unless it is full of the same cars). I do like that they don't stand out like a big ugly sore thumb like some Japanese sports cars do (Honda Civic is one).
The Cadillac CTS has the most attractive design in the segment. Unfortunately, we don't have Cadillacs in Brazil, so the Germans dominate the market. Great review, please also review the upcoming A4!

+Eddie Camacho LOL. If you read.. even heard any stories on the VW diesel problem...... ONLY applies to 4 cylinder diesel models. Since this video is not about a 4 cylinder nor a diesel, not sure of your point.
+Eddie Camacho The engine affected in VW's emissions scandal is the EA189 engine. This includes the 1.2L, the 1.6L, or the 2.0L diesel. Since the A6 doesn't offer any of those engines, it is not affected.
Jonnie Bangkok Why watch the video and spend your time commenting? Not disagreeing with your statement on their crimes, just curious as to why you're here?
Lol educate yourself. The emission scandal is a political scheme. Chevrolet and Ford wanted to start selling diesel passenger cars in North America but they couldn’t sell a lot of them because VW got 90%+ of the market share. So they pulled something shady to kick them out of the diesel market. Called a few guys sitting in the arm chairs high up in the federal government; put a few bucks in their pockets. Have you realized that GM came out with their Cruze EcoDiesel back in 2014 but barely sold any in North America. And the VW scandal came out in September, 2015 so all the TDI’s were done. Now the Cruze EcoDiesel has much better sales numbers than before VW got kicked out. If you ran tests on the Duramax, Power Stroke or Cummins diesel motors in their trucks I doubt they will meet all the regulations. Every company commits felonies. But it’s up to the government to judge and proscute them. If you put enough money in their pockets, they will pretend they don’t know anything about it. If you put more than enough money in their pockets, they will eliminate your competitors.
If I had the money, I would buy this in a heartbeat. I love almost everything about this car. Love your reviews.

+Blake Swan yes dont buy this car, fuck it s amazing transmision quatro technology engine confort ,buy something flamboyant but half as good as this that sound legit.
Radu Vlad you foreign fuck, i guess you love that understeer sensation as you plow into everything and than act like you dont speak english. Enjoy your bland overpriced VW
Yeah whatever. U probably cant even afford the buick
lmao won't pass emissions after their scandal
+Eddie Camacho LOL. If you read.. even heard any stories on the VW diesel problem...... ONLY applies to 4 cylinder diesel models. Since this video is not about a 4 cylinder nor a diesel, not sure of your point.
I'll add a bit . I may be incorrect last, I do know the Audi a3 was affected so forgive me if not the a6..
+Eddie Camacho The engine affected in VW's emissions scandal is the EA189 engine. This includes the 1.2L, the 1.6L, or the 2.0L diesel. Since the A6 doesn't offer any of those engines, it is not affected.
Audi...not really a fan. Don't really fancy supporting a company that commits environmental felonies either.
Jonnie Bangkok Why watch the video and spend your time commenting? Not disagreeing with your statement on their crimes, just curious as to why you're here?
DiveDeep Because VW group automobiles make up a small part of Alex's reviews.
Jonnie Bangkok thanks for letting us know !
