Not a callout or anything along the lines of these, I started the process of doing the duplicate listings as stated in the video and i noticed they kept getting removed, I reached out to Etsy Support to see what's going on and this is their response to me stating about it "being allowed if we can fulfil the orders" "Ahh I see. That is currently not correct indeed despite putting different photos in it. Our systems may possibly detect that those were just duplicate and might subject for deactivation." "We currently do encourage to not duplicate posts to avoid problems with Etsy at the moment. It may only be allowed on the slightest margin, such as if you will create a physical and a digital version of the post."
I saw your post on reddit and randomly found the video version of it haha. Both were helpful and I am currently putting it into practice...hope it works.
Hey there! I like your advice when you break even - when you launch/list a product on Etsy. 😃 How many sales do you usually get, before you put the price back up in profit??
I’ll usually run the sale for the first 30days. If it’s selling well I’ll then adjust the price up. It’s not an exact science, so sometimes you just gotta see how things are going and make a judgment call on when you should do things.
@@3dDesignBros - one more thing, if you don't mind answering. When you say "I’ll usually run the sale for the first 30 days", do you run paid ads with that sale, or just for it organically?
You'll want to advertise all 3 to start with because that is how you will be able to quickly determine which one is ranking. Once the clear front runner is established I then turn off the ads for the other 2 listings.
@@3dDesignBroshi how long do you think I need to run ad for these 3 identical products? If there’s no sale after a couple of weeks what should I do? I have opened a shop in Jan 2024 and made one new listing a day (after watching another UA-camr advertise). There are about 40 listing and 9 sales. Want to try your advice and bring more traffic and views. Do you think making like 5 different new product listing a day is a bad thing? Is it too fast and bad for the Etsy shop? Really want to hear your take on this. Thank you very much for your time,
It would probably work eventually just going to take longer. I tend to always have my ad budget maxed out as I want to find the listing that perform and the listings that don't as fast as possible. I did a video about Etsy ads check it out and it will maybe answer your questions. ua-cam.com/video/8lpdMysP_Bw/v-deo.htmlsi=nJ79NnVqx6BdtihK
I don't believe it has any effect on how they actually show your ads. I think Etsy uses the data internally to see what the reason was that got someone to finally turn their ads on.
If the customer that bought at the discounted price leaves a review it shows what price they paid wouldn't offering an extreme discount turn people away that read reviews do to them feeling some kind of way that they aren't getting it at that discounted price or make them want to wait to see if you offer at that price again because I know I would wait but that is just me? Not only that but some people not including me i have nothing against it but some people see it as unethical or deceptive because for that to be considered a sale or discount it has to be offered at the higher price for a certain amount of time
I don't believe Etsy shows the price the buyer paid when they leave a review. As far a the sale being unethical or deceptive not sure how it could be interpreted that way. Like I said in the video I'm not promoting price gouging, the sale price should really be a sale and less then you intend to sell it for during non sale time. Etsy also puts right on the listings the Sale amount letting everyone know this is a sale and the price will go up. I've also never heard of something not being a sale if it isn't listed for full price first. A very common sales strategies is that early buyers gets discounts.

Duplicating is an interesting tip! Almost like changing around UA-cam thumbnails till you find one that sticks
Yeah Exactly!

Thank you for your efforts !!!
Do you eventually delete those duplicating listings that don't perform well?
I don't. You could but my thought is what does it hurt being out there. Every once in a while I'll get a sale from one of them.
Can we duplicate listing for digital products also? 🤔
I don’t see why not.
Great video. Can you pls guide me 1 on 1? pls I need it
We do offer 1 on 1 meetings. See our available tiers at thangs.com/designer/3ddesignbros
So for your last point, do you add all those listings to your ads as well? or just the main one?

When it comes to etsy ads, does anyone know what the arbitrary sounding ad strategies you can choose from actually do?
