An option to replace Fusion is Freecad. I'm still learning it but I was never an expert in Fusion either. It's free and you have control over your files instead of them being held hostage on someone else's server.

You built the cost of labor into the price but you should still show the labor as an expense.

I can share some info from china, at 2024/01, china market has around 5k printers and it get incrase a lot, at the end of the year there are 80k printers (this numebr from bilibili streamer who are farmer with over 1k printers) and the price of 1g/$0.02 printing price. The market would not remain hot all the time, price and competion will come. ETA 2~3 years depends on how US market printer number increase. I am also host a small one myself, but my feeling is it will come to customize and as you also can see, print for others will have very less profit. But I also worry about copy right, I mean even if your own design, someone else can copy very fast. One way out is mixed with electric other stuff together. But I am still trying, which need a lot of man power to do extra work like assembling. But hey, nice video, thumb up for you!

I’ve seen many channels on UA-cam that run 3-D print farms. I just don’t understand how you can make that much money printing 3-D plastic things. I see no list of stuff you print so I can’t tell the sophistication or quality of your products. Don’t get me wrong if you made that much great that’s wonderful. I just don’t understand how you did it. And no, I don’t wanna buy a printer. I’m too old.

I'm a bit fed up with the YT 3D printing community making crazy claims about 3D printing hustle that never take into consideration the cost of doing business and fixed costs. And then, of course, after you think you're home free with 50K net profit ... uncle sam comes for its paycheck too. lol.

I reallly appreciate the honest breakdown of everything. For most of us 3D printing should be a side hustle. These days we need lots of side hustles to make ends meet. Very encouraging video. I'm just starting my own 3d print business with 5 printers and a niche product that I stumbled across.

This is my 3rd year selling on Etsy and 2nd with my own website from Wix with it selling on it and Ebay. 1st year was 7k in sales no profit. 2nd year was 23k with no profit. it all went into growth. this year i did a little over 31k but spent most of it to keep growth but with your videos on TicToc first and now youtube I have gained time. I dropped some products with low ROI after learning about that from you and your spread sheets. I spent most of the year letting Etsy advertising run wild with the end goal more in sales than it cost and it did. gave deals for unpurchased carts left on etsy from one of your videos and it has works. then I wanted to spend down some profit so i got the full blown Xtool S1 with all the extras on black Friday after watching that video. so yes your a great channel for true ideas for all stages of 3D printing. my company is not my full time job so I run it different than you run yours, but we still have stuff that is the same.

Nice! I'm looking to grow mine. I started late 2023 with two printers. Ended 2024 with 4 more printers. I don't know what my net in is with the costs but I did make $14k net from Etsy. So I am hoping to scale it again this year.

In Germany the State will cut your net income by 50% easy.
