I’ve seen a half dozen videos on the 700r4 cable adjustment and this is by far the best. A very clear explanation of how the cable need to function and be adjusted.
I have a 700 r4 transmission. I brought two TV cables and I did the adjustments the way you said. But the cable would never Is ratchet out on his own. Why would that happen on both TV cables?

Update, I have had mine for about 6 months now and trans has acted perfectly, besides my WOT shifts (governor springs adjustment). However I am going to upgrade to FiTech or Holley Sniper EFI and I need to order a new kit but you guys are always out of stock!
on my 70 Impala i swapped from a 2 barrel to 4 bbl holley and my detent cable is 2 or 3 inches too short. I can put the cable to a bracket but it's too far away to reach the carb

This will absolutely work with the Holley sniper efi? I’ve ran into a mess with this and no one seems to have a for sure answer on what bracket to get.
Thanks for tbis explainer! So is the adapter not suitable to a 2bbl? I am looking for an improvement over a 2 sp powerglide and looking at 200 4r as a replacement.

Yall make one for a holley ultra xp 600? The throttle linkage is unique not like other holley carbs

Did you purchase our Tru-Shift kit? If so please give us a call and we will get it figured out, but something seems wrong to be that short.

Bolt on the Bowler Tru-Shift, attach cable at wide open throttle, let go and it sets itself precisely. No adjustments from this point on... at all?

Yes it works perfect with the Holley Sniper EFI.

@3:05 the TV is not returning to the correct location. You MUST see all 6 rings on the TV when at Idle.
