So glad you're back! I was worried that we'd never get to see how this awesome shield turned out!
InstaBlaster
The triumphant return of Happy Atom! Looking forward to more of your videos, hope all is well, sir!
Super underrated channel. Love your work, and appreciate you showing your process
Thanks Alexander.
Man, I'm so glad this turned out so well for you! And I'm super happy you're back, too. It really makes my day to watch your videos.
You live! Welcome back! I’ve broken my own self imposed rule of only lurking/never commenting on UA-cam. So happy to see another video!
Ha ha ha! Thanks for the message!
Omg I'm so happy he's back
I was thinking it would be cool to do a plunge cut to take out some of the material in the center of the shield to reduce the weight.
I was thinking the same, an offcut using the same technique. Though most shields are rounded using a shield press.
I'm so glad to see part 3 up! I'm loving your videos!
Holy crap I thought you were dead! I'm so glad your back!!
One of my favourite channels by far
Wow, great idea with the table saw!
This technique would work awesome for a Captain America shield, too.
That technique was amazing, something I won't learn at school.

A favorite channel because this guy makes everything he needs. He's very practical and honest. When it comes to wood working he will be a great resource!
I'm aware of his video's, I really like them too.
Thanks!
Glad you're back!!! And with an awesome tip nonetheless. I'll definitely try this method out some day!
I found your work just as you went AWOL... welcome back!
Nice to see this! Hope next vedio would not be this long to come up.
HE'S ALIVE! Have you gotten the chance to play BOTW?
Not as much as I would like!
HappyAtom Oh man, but hey, the hylian shield and master sword designs remained the same from skyward sword so the ones you made can be Considered BOTW as well!
Right! I admit I was excited about that. I think the only difference is the rivets on the scabbard are a different color and the shield has leather on the handle now. I need to double check. How's your scabbard going?
I haven't had the money to get the materials yet :(
I really want to make it, as well as redo the master sword I did, I just can't afford it. It sucks haha
Oh my god the work you are putting is awesome you are blessed by this talent and the music I instantly subscribed
I have a lot of ideas
Finally!!! You're back!
Great video! I'm going to be making a CPT America shield for my neighbor using this same process.
Welcome back Adam
Thank the goddess of Hylia. He's alive
Yeah! I project that I cant do!!! Also welcome back!
If you don't have a table saw research a shield press. Might take some inventive cutting (like globe spheres) but wood bends very easily when it's thin! Just layer it for thickness. Alternatively, a SpokeShave would help round it by hand!
You should use that method but leave the ripples, then carve some form of water animal/creature onto it and then have a cool water rippled shield. 👌
Oh... It is magnificent...
Dude this was awesome! The table saw trick wouldve been so helpful when I made a captain America shield lol great work. But where's the finished product????🤔
great work, you make it look to easy,,but that is your skill level,,,,keep it up
Welcome back!
7:15 yeah. That's what I leave the shop saying every time I make something lmao. It's a good thing skin heals.
8:13
You'd make a pretty good DJ
Love it!
Oh he's back =D
Any non table saw ideas for creating a curve? Would love to make this but I don't have access to a table saw.
Great video as always can't wait for the next one
Good
Hay Adam I have a question. If you your going to make a master sword that 1.65ft in the blade how thick of lumber do I need and how would I modify the 1.75 for template to fit my size
Awesome
OMG YOU'RE ALRIGHT TwT I got so happy when I saw your name in my notifications. Was getting really worried.
Thanks!
You should do some arcade videos. :D
Like what?
Hello Atom.
It has been a while since you uploaded something and since I asked if it is possible to make the Spirit Flute from LoZ Sprit Tracks, but I'm wondering how that is going. Have you tried to make it?
For me it is completely fine if it doesn't sound like the original flute, as long as it does look like it.
Yours sincerely, Amanda.
Good news Amanda. After the last video, two viewers have replied to me that they are starting work on a flute and will share the process with me! Once they get back to me we will make a flute.
Finally!
I feel like that jig would've been 100x safer if it had slides to go in the ways of your tablesaw, rather than just up against the fence. I see that your tablesaw doesn't seem to have ways though.
Hey happy atom, where have you been!!
does anyone know where he got the design for the twin serpents? I've hunted around but can't seem to find his exact copy from the internet! :(
I saw this...
No hesitation to click.
You can create the traveler swor
Aaaaaaaah
It's amazing!!!
Plans?
Personally, I think Wood Turning it would have been better for both getting the corners off and making the dome.
What does that mean
@@johnzamer3142 I think what I meant was, it would be easier to make it into a circular domed shield because the wood itself would be spinning, plus you can sand it that way. But that was two years ago, so I don't remember.
why get a play button from UA-cam when HappyAtom could just make it?
You can create the traveler sword
Daht's cool
Adam why don't you post often like 1 a week
you were gone for quite a while
I want to do this in my school workshop but i doubt they will let me to that table saw trick...
You are probably right.
Show your instructor this video. He would most likely do it for you if it's sketchy. My shop teach was very encouraging when it came to my wacky ides.
Caines Armoury you can just do whatever in shop we have to do a bunch of designing for specific products we spent like an entire semester designing and crafting one.
Ever heard of a lathe...
I will try to do it with Woodbex plans.
