The DAN has received an Active Suspension Upgrade as of Phase 6. If you'd like to see information on it, check out this video ua-cam.com/video/KUGTQ6IYo2o/v-deo.html
One of the things I really like about your reviews is the consistent quality in all your videos. I always look forward to your uploads because I know it will always be a great video and excellent review. I am surprised you didn't mention the right side fuel tank as a con. I get that thing stuck on rocks and trees all the time. Thanks for another amazing video.
I appreciate that brother! thank you! You're right! I missed that fuel tank one as a con. That's a really good point. It actually does get caught up quite a bit. I definitely appreciate your feedback as always brother!
Great review! Raw power is right! The DAN 96320 might be slower when compared to other trucks, but it is ultra stable, the frame flexes and twists with a trailer over bumps, it is incredibly fuel efficient and it can pull a heavy load up a steep hill with ease. This truck has been one of the very few that has remained stable under load in the treacherous Urska River, Amur region of the game. Pulled two metal beams on a trailer up an insanely steep hill heading toward the Cosmodrome gateway and then followed that up with four service spare part boxes. A total beast! Because of that, I will continue to use this truck in Amur and more.
Oh man I'm in totally Agreement! This truck is a hidden gem. Its overshadowed by all the notable trucks, but its seriously incredible. I've had some jaw dropping moments driving this as well. The active suspension on this really is quite amazing as well. Thank you for that comment! :)
I'm at a point in SnowRunner where I basically own 90% of the trucks. The DAN is the only truck I was unable to flip. Yes, I even managed to flip the Azov 73210 and the ZiKZ 605R (this is what happens when you get overconfident and therefore careless), but not the DAN. What an amazing truck this is. Cheers! //Rick
Just found your channel and you definitely deserve more subs. Also just starting playing this game on Steam and the Switch so your videos have been very helpful.
I appreciate that; thank you! I’m so glad my videos are helpful. That’s the whole reason I started this channel. I struggled allot when I first started so hearing it helps people makes it worth the effort. Thank you so much again!
fyi look behind the cab, the reason the DAN doesn't have a crane id because the drive axle is in the way. It doesn't effect the spare as the spare wheel mount is off to the side.
I just got mine last night thanks to your help. And I must say it's a unit! I hauled the cat 745c on the heavy lowboy with the Dan in the snow in Alaska and it did flawless.
I tried it out one day and now I use it quite a bit. I nicknamed it old Lieutenant Dan (Forrest Gump). Great truck and new sub too. Good job Nate. ... J
The reason you can’t get a small crane is the transmission and rear driveshaft are above the frame rails behind the cab where it would go otherwise. The spare tire can be mounted to the back of the cabin area (technically that area is the hood because the engine is behind the cabin) and hang slightly above the transmission and driveshaft.
I think one of the contract logging in Yukon I drove this up the snow hill to unlock watchtowers with long logs at the back and so surprised it came back out with no consequences
Great review, Nathan. I've owned and played Snowrunner since it released on Epic, but I've never reached Tamyr until yesterday for the first time. I was wondering what I'd do for a heavy truck since my "rule" was to not bring my fleet from North America. Now I know!
Hey thank you! Taymyr is an awesome region. You're gonna find some good trucks there for sure. The Dan is really a hidden gem. I think it will serve you well :)
Interestingly, there is a 12x12 version of this vehicle. Hope we would see it in the game sometime, although unfortunately it will most likely be a dlc
With the active suspension, this truck is very capable. It's funny, it has most of it weight in the front, but even then it feels light in the front with the crane/maintenance/bed add on
Nathan my man, for a couple of days now i debated if i ask you or not, but am i the only weird guy that cant find a fuel gauge inside the cockpit...of dan..?
It's taken me 3 days to finally unlock the Zikz because I kept getting side tracked 😭 lol its awesome though. I'll have to give the Dan another go you really sold it to me there lol
Awesome congrats! The Dan is a hidden gem. It’s active suspension upgrade is quite a good upgrade as well! One of the better trucks in the game that’s overlooked
It cannot equip a small crane due to the driveshaft on the back of the cab wasting space. I love its engine sounds and it's so easy to get, just accept the task and refuel it
Can I add the length can be a blessing as on angled terain even with a full 5 slot trailer the frame twists on the Dan saving tipping weirdly twisting but trying to keep it level and now with suspension loose rocks becom less of an issue the frame length on loose rocks is also a bonus now where it was hit and miss
Yes sir you may add that. I didnt dive to far in detail with those things you mentioned, but you're right. Around Pro #5 and the conclusion kinda shows a little of what your speaking on. This truck is a gem
Thank you! I actually have yet to start the Developers hardcore mode, but I did make my own which is on the playlists as well. I think after I complete phase 4 I perhaps will start a hardcore and do a tips video. Check out the Challenge Mode play through I have and it’s rules. They are actually pretty tough
@@nathanfankhanel I think I'm always going to recommend the Year pass, but I just finished Maine last night and I have to say. That was my favorite DLC so far. Alot of trucks could be used and not just the most capable ones. I have streams on twitch and youtube of me using trucks people dont normally play; while having success.
@@NProvince yeah I assumed year pass was going to be better then individual phases. Maine being your favourite so far I'm guessing you like year 2 more then year 1? I enjoy watching your videos. You are also one of few that actually have commentary over videos. That makes for a much easier watching/listening experience compared to having to read captions on others
It has the highest power to weight of the trucks that can use that engine. With its active suspension upgrade, it’s quite the monster that folks sleep on
Indeed it does, but I didnt say it was the longest wheel base in the game. I said it was probably the longest wheel base in the game of vehicles than can hold "2 pieces of Cargo" meaning a flat bet. The P12 cannot use a flatbed.
The DAN is very limited in addons. IMO it's a crane vehicle only. Having a saddle behind the rear wheels looks like a bad joke. It's already long and has always locked differential, by adding a semitrailer to that... well, it becomes very long and hard to maneuver.
It does have limited addons, yet the vehicle is super front heavy which allows it to use trailers and still be able to have front wheel contact for steering. I exclusively use semis on all my trucks and I never had an issue with this one.

Glad you suggested it brother! I hope you enjoy it!

Lol love the nickname! Thank you for that sub as well!
The sound is a plus as well
It does have a good engine sound
11:51 in my early game i remember flipping over and over with Voron trucks here.. even rescue trucks were getting flipped. If only i used Dan 96320
Oh ya that spot is treacherous. The DAN is really a sleeper that not many people appreciate.

It’s quite a vehicle
Dude your videos are awesome im glad i found your channel
Thank you! Im really glad you enjoy them! please share them if you think they will help people as well.
This truck have active suspension now Amazing!
Oh yes! I havent been able to unlock it quite yet due to a business trip, but I'm excited to unlock and use it!
Hmmm, I will have to give it a try with trailers. I too have really only used it with the large crane.
Ya because it’s front heavy, weight on the back helps a lot. I think the new active suspension is gonna help it as well

That’s a good question. I don’t know. I don’t really spend a lot of time in 1st person.
Can you review gmc brigader 800
Brigadier
Ya I can for sure. I have about 3-4 reviews in front of it from other requests, but I'll absolutely review it.
It's taken me 3 days to finally unlock the Zikz because I kept getting side tracked 😭 lol its awesome though. I'll have to give the Dan another go you really sold it to me there lol

What map are you driving on at 12:00 ?
That is Drowned Lands, Taymyr by the Sawmill I believe
@@NProvince thx
My first vehicle outside of NA was my scout. I run a fleetstar, Western star, and my Yar 87 atm
Nice Setup!
@@NProvince if you had to pick 1 dlc to get which one would it be? Not a year pass but just a single phase

It kicks out of HI at very low torque tolerances...idk if I'm using it wrong or what, but it kicks out of hi easier than the TAYGA king
Wait maybe I'm thinking of the P12, I just bought it, discovered and rescued the dan, and the step...yea it's the P12 that I'm thinking of
Oh ya I seen your 2nd comment. Ya the P12 needs more power than 210,00 torque. That’s a good bit of power, yet it’s so heavy
Huh... Maybe i should look again. Cuz i used this thing and it seemed gutless

actually p12 has longer wheel base than dan

Somehow its goated on snow maps.
It’s very strong on a lot of maps for sure
You sound like Lackluster using a different mic 😆
I’m not sure who that is lol 😂
I don't agree that having always on difflock is always a pro. It increases turning circle drastically.
