What a musical treat to see and hear David do his thing here instead of his home studio. A master of the genre'. His guitar is tuned down to "D" so some tuning issues cropped up along the way, but once that Collins warmed up and adjusted to the room, it really sounded great. And thanks to the team that brought this unexpected gig to youtube. He's got a once a month gig here, so hopefully we'll get the next one too. By the way, my first introduction to David was via his Truefire 'Jazz/Blues' instructional videos. (Not a fingerstyle player...oh well). And the between song stories? He's got a million. Well done~!

You make the things you do on guitar look easy…….its remarkable the things you’ve uncovered on the fretboard and the driving groove, dynamics, clear melodic lines, walking bass lines and harmonic twists and turns all within the cozying familiarity of a bluesy ambiance. Great playing, fun compositions, very entertaining! Thanks!!
We learned "Parisian Blues," in his FingerstyleFive guitar membership last year, it's a fun but challenging tune to play.
