The snell knot was originally invented in Great Britain for eyeless hooks. It keeps the fishing line aligned with the shank of the fishing hook to preserve strength. It should be tied on hooks with a bent eye so that the line can exit straight without a kink. It is an important knot in multiple hook rigs.
    Advantages:
Very strong attachment to hook retaining 95% plus line strength when tied well. No knot sits on the eye of the hook. Can be tied on eyeless hooks which is handy in a survival situation.

Foreal! Some extra talking about alternative turns or differences in how different lines hold the knot, but all that extra "conversation" is not needed.

Wow just seeing this out of the box ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxQr1yd4Zc6qJF-scTB6Zb9dQbVpviuRxB recommend I have yet to fish with this set up, but based on the first hands on appeal, I can tell this is going to change the way i pack and carry to a whole new level. If you fish like i do, you know the smaller and less stuff the better. I’ve added a photo of just some of my gear so you can see how serious i am about fishing.

I tried this knot earlier but I was struggling. I’m going to practice indoors before fishing next time. I’ve just been tying a quadruple knot - I’ve only lost a couple of hooks so far 😅 Thank you for this video 😊

Never fails, I can tie this knot to a circle with 100lb mono easily! Or even to 2lb line for micro fishing. Absolutely the best knot for fishing with bait.
