I think the white rabbit symbolizes our internal gut feeling about bringing major changes to our lives when we're at a crossroads, but we usually ignore those feelings as just normal anxieties.
Or we don't, continue chasing the anxiety and hypothetical unknowns, and this is simply playing out theoretical but fantastical ideas when we have no proof or evidence to actually cause said anxieties of the unknown. I like your take on it.
I feel sorry for Aunt Imogene. I thought Alice´s comment about not wanting to end up like her was unneccesary and not called for. Sure, I understand why nobody would want to end up like her, but there was no need for Alice to say it out loud.
I think the story should have given more to her story-wise since she’s like a major factor in Alice’s dilemma, that she’ll be like aunt Imogen if she doesn’t do what is expected of her. Maybe there’s a woman like her in wonderland who she grows to respect.
I remember falling asleep to this movie and waking up in the middle of this scene (my TV automatically replays every movie if left untouched) so the movie had already repeated itself at least once and I was so confused 😂🤣
I was watching Slaughterhouse Rulez and was like the headteachers is Aro from Twilight and I was right. My mum and her bf were watching Quiz on ITV and the presenter guy reminded me of him and I said it and I googled the cast and it was him. Then I found out he was the White Rabbit.
I love this film, but when she falls down the rabbit hole, she grabs up and the top of the hole, and it gets smaller, and on the next shot, the hole is big again like she has just fallen down it!
0:45 And with this shot, Disney's Toon powerhouse was revolutionized forever... (those who've seen "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" and know Disney's CGI remake bender will get me)
Now, I've never seen this film, or any of them, but I can't help but feel the Rabbit was purposely leading her astray. He looked back briefly when he got to the hole, as if making sure she was following him, and during the proposal, held up the pocket watch as if to remind her. If this was confirmed I'm just stupid.
The white rabbit is actually a metaphor. In the film Matrix, the white rabbit is a hint to continue following an inner path (even if your mind says no - you have to go back to work tomorrow morning). You could also say that this is synchronicity in the sense of C.G. Jung. So what does it mean to follow the white rabbit? Ultimately, it means seeing through the deception of the external, seemingly unique and real world for what it is - a programme. It is about becoming an observer and waking up. But that is too much for the logical mind. Only experience leads us further at this point, because even millions of explanations are not enough for the mind - it doesn't go any further on the intellectual level. Those who follow the white rabbit see the wonderland of reality with new eyes - which is also how Alice ends up in Wonderland. Mainstream response: The white rabbit and the metaphors relating to it symbolise the fact that people begin to pursue small doubts and discover a gigantic conspiracy in the process.
I love how at 0:50 it has a double meaning, 1 the obvious one: Alice is overwhelmed by the proposal so she wants an escape, and 2 the way more Interesting: she’s been seeing the rabbit the whole time trying to know where it’s from and why it’s wearing clothes, that she follows it and being so in her own world that she completely forgets she runs away from a hundred or so people… it’s comedy, mystery and escape all at once which is very fun
Rabbit: W A N T S O M E C A N D Y . Alice: Aha yes the rabbit went in this nearly bottomless polluted hole maybe I should lean over at this particular dangerous and alarming angle, that sounds like a pleasing idea.

I always loved the change of style from a Jane Austen novel to a surreal fantasy setting.
This fall looks extremely deadly, but I'm glad she survived.
White Rabbit literally is the reason why alice has fulfilled her dreams
Michael sheen can do that to people-
(Sorry, no one ever talks about the white rabbits VA, hes a great actor)

I hope you ran prior to leaving someone unknowing at the ceremony. If you didn't, you're heartless

Yep
It’s awkward that she’s an adult. This story is really about a child
it’s supposed to follow from that original story, the beginning of the film shows a young alice waking from the dream of wonderland
Not a child...a teenager 13-19 years of age its literally the story line is of a teenager
@@E3boss2003 but Alice was only 10 years old in Lewis Carroll and the Disney 1951 film
