Karl Malone earned 1st-team All-NBA Defensive honors three times throughout his career (and 2nd-team on one other occasion due mainly to his outstanding low-post defense. Malone mastered the "pull-the-chair" maneuver, which combined with his superior strength and quick hands frustrated opposing players in the post.
