    This is the first time I've seen SAD categorized this way. Not all SAD sufferers have the same symptoms or casualties.

    Finally a summary with scientific proof. I like the examples that are given so you can better understand the different types. The given quotation shows someone really has done his/her homework.

      Glad it is helpful! It was important to us to work with scientifically tested explanations, since there is so much pseudo-information out there.

      It is important to talk about it, it accounts for the 3rd most common psychological disorder in the States and most other parts of the world.

    Anyone else have parents or family/friends that just don’t understand how bad your panic attacks / anxiety attacks are and they just tell you to get over it?

      This is one of the major challenges for people with social anxiety - the social stigma. We are hoping to change this!

      Sadly, it's the same the other way around. How can the others go to work/parties or any social event without feeling so fkin afraid of it D:
      It is my biggest wish to get rid of this social anxiety... :(

      Glad to hear that. We were thrilled about how much scientific research already exists but is not being shared with the wide public.

    I started counseling 4 months ago it has helped. Every Saturday and sunday I go to the gym with a buddy. I'm also looking into those free zoom support groups too.

      There are many therapeutic approaches that have been proven effective. Most therapists recommend CBT, but there are many more approaches. We will create a video on the topic soon.

      Hi Ionvan! People who suffer (or have suffered) from SAD do understand how you feel. If you can't make any progress by yourself, you may want to look for a professional to work with in your area. Your CSA Team

    I found this to be very helpful. However, the categories of performance and observation doesn’t make sense to me. They seem to go more hand in hand than interaction and observation. If you are performing you are most likely being observed.

    I have depersonalisation. What category does that come under?

    • @conquersocialanxiety
      @conquersocialanxiety  5 років тому

      There is no specific category for this feature in SAD. It seems as you are experiencing unwanted thoughts and feelings you can't seem to control. Acceptance of thoughts and feelings is an important step of getting better.
