Love, love, love this! What stood out for me was how you were vulnerable and genuine you were with each other. Takes a high level of maturity to share.
Awwww, so emotional. U guys look soo much alike. The things parents do unconsciously. Glad u both av moved past all that. Family is everything after all.
“The pretty one?” What!? Mom should have rebuked that spirit of division. It’s great to see that you have been able to overcome this rivalry. Thanks for sharing. Remain tremendously blessed
I enjoyed everything! What stood out for me was how outsiders capitalize on the divide to achieve their own benefit. I'm happy you guys are good now. Parenting is really not a walk in the park.
Marina frankly speaking this is one of the videos every parent should watch or intending parents should please watch this video. Am being intentional parents as from now because I never experienced this siblings rivery.
"Release them from your heart & love them from a distance." It is so powerful & healing when you identify a pattern, & become intentional about breaking it. God bless you & your sister.
That was so amazing to not only listen to but watch as well. Thanks so much guys for sharing your story. Am also facing same problem with my elder sister and I've just shared this video with her and I pray that the both of us should also do same as you guys. God bless you both richly and I pray that God Almighty will continue to uphold you both in Jesus name. Amen. 🙏🏿❤❤❤❤
You guys are phenomenal. Imagine what you two have missed all these years when you were not in sync. The whole conversation was just so interesting and captivating. The high point for me was when you barged into that room to save your sister. At that point, there was no thinking of who is prettier than who or whose legs were longer. 31 mins of my life well spent. Thank you.
I Love this video so much, I have a son who is so so creative and loves to draw! Thank you for sharing that tip how you buy his paintings. I will do that with my artist son!
I got really teary watching this, i noticed similar situation happens in my mum's family, which affect some of their relationship up till now. I just realized why my mum stand up and strong when we, her children have siblings rivalry, to be honest she really tried to make peace especially with me and my sisters. We have a lot of issues but glory be to God , we are in good terms now. I also learn a lot here especially some things I never pay attention to, i will surely make use of it when I start parenting. Thanks so much for this loaded enlightenment on parenting .
Thank you Marina. I lost my only sister on the 1st of September this year. We rivaled each other all our lives. Sadly, I never got the privilege to resolve things this way. This made me cry, and gave me a kind of peace. That is so much!
I can really relate. This is me and my younger sister. Sibling rivalry is something every parent should pay attention to. I love you both and I pray I will be able to do this with my sister someday.
Awesome video. This is the type of topic that's not very much talked about. Thanks for opening up. It's very important we parents nip these issues in the bud before our kids grow into full blown adults. I married into a family where ALL the siblings are rivals, it's unbelievable....and I feel really bad for my parents in law....it's so bad that their spouses even uses it against them to get away with things. It's just so terrible!! May God give us wisdom
I’m glad you didn’t hold back from publishing this video because of the quality. It was packed with lessons that many parents will easily overlook. I love absolutely love it! God bless you both
This is the whole truth when you have problem with the person that suppose to be your friend or sister it gives you pain in the heart until both of you settle it. I really love this video although I downloaded it from the first day you uploaded it but I couldn't watch it because I was busy but with the much comments from the live video I went and watched and I really learn from it. Thanks your is she from ijaw
Thank you Marina for a wonderful talk session with lots to learn as parents to young ones. Teared up when Sandra talked about how she called you and you were there in mins to her rescue 😢. Sibling love and bond is unmatched no matter what tries to come in between.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS VLOG. MY GOODNESS!!! I GREW UP SEEING MY MUM AND HER SIBLINGS SERIOUSLY HATE ON EACH OTHER AND IT ALMOST STARTED PLAYING OUT WITH MY SIBLINGS AND I TOO BUT THANK GOD, WE REALIZED THIS PATTERN QUITE EARLY AND BEGAN INTENTIONALLY DRAWING CLOSE. BEING RELATIVELY NEW TO MUMMYHOOD, I AM BEING INTENTIONAL ABOUT MY OWN KIDS LOVING EACH OTHER AND BEING FRIENDS. (BUT BEING ALLIES IS MUCH MORE POWERFUL INDEED). THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU MARINA AND SANDRA FOR BEING SO VULNERABLE WITH YOUR STORY. I WAS CERTAINLY BLESSED BY IT.
Marina, I love your family and the relationship between you and your siblings. Keep it up. Well done. Your mother did an incredibly good job. God bless you.
I learnt so much. Honestly, communication is everything. In addition, I have learnt to celebrate my children's uniqueness and not compare them.with one another.
Wow Marina and Fovwe, this was really good to watch. Am glad you girls found a balance. Mummy will be happy to see you guys this way too..Love&light always!❤️
Family is everything. This is a conversation a lot of parents don't have. Parents are not GOD, we can all make mistakes. Sibling(young) quarrels are inevitable but siblings rivalry should be addressed and trashed. It can really be toxic. Bless you Marina and Sandra for this insight.
The love that exist naturally in your heart's made you realise the strength in family bonds. Thanks for sharing this alot of parents and even children and adults go are still fighting till adulthood must have learnt a great deal. This is a special content that is uncommon Marina.
Hmm, this video is so real. I'm a first girl too, and I had this with my immediate younger sister and its so unhealthy. We had all this tension too and still have not spoken about it. Its funny to think that there may still be this rivalry though in a mature way. But on the other hand, my younger sis dealt with me, i was too calm and quiet. More like we were always dragging something. Thanks for sharing Marina. And I remember your agbani look in uni as well. 😍🥰
First of all you ladies are so beautiful, I mean so beautiful and I love your relationship.. This was a very emotional video and I appreciate you baring your heart out to us.. it's so good to see how well and you both have turned out, I'm sure your parents are very proud.
I came back to finish watching. Marina and Fovwe, you guys made me shed tears twice. First was when Fovwe talked about how you barged in and saved her from that situation she was in. Second was when you talked about how you and and your siblings locked hands as your mum's casket was being lowered 😭.
I have 2 kids now Marina n I'm happy to have this information first hand. As an only child I haven't had so many of these experiences. This is really prepping me. BTW, I want Oyoma company to start production again.
I watched on the tv but I had to come comment here. This has topped every other video of yours I have watched and trust me I have watched 99%. I learnt a lot and also saved for future watching. Your sister is a character ❤❤I love how you both are now and how you’re being intentional with your children. God bless you sooooooo much. ❤❤
This is a very packed video. I am happy you both have resolved your differences. I have learnt somethings on how to handle my girls who are completely different from each other.
Marina, l appreciate this topic as l have the same issue with my immediate elder brother which really caused a strain in our relationship growing up. We still yet to really address this as we just sweep it under the carpet. I pray for the courage to do what you two did. Thanks
Fowe reminds me so much of me, but I was that middle child that never felt beautiful, even though I was like everything "physically attributed to beauty" like her! But the rivalry: We are 3 girls, 4 boys, and the rivalry was gender based being that the girls were all 1st, 2nd, 3rd. And we girls felt like as the boys rolled in, preferential treatment started! But it did not linger cos my brothers are super amazing young men today, real protectors and defenders of their 3 Queens! We did have closure with our parents, and to date, sometimes we remind them of some events and they don't even remember doing it!
Thanks Marina you are star 🌟. The topic you had with your sister is what that destroy families. I hope parents will learn from your topic today. Thankfully for me, my parents dis not give room for siblings rivalry. Weldon sisters.
Thanks you for the valuable lessons that many families needs to implement in restoring those bonds since it been such a hassle nowadays, seeing families grow apart for life♥. In my case I was separated from my siblings due to the same tension between my family, not feeling integrated anywhere, but now allows me to be able point out how important family is especially in these times of tension all around.
Thanks Marina for putting this up!.... My siblings and I aren't in the best place, I have tried and it's exhausting so I have given up and gone into hiding. Hmmmm
Well done Marina. This topic is really not talked about enough. Glad you’ve gotten to this place with Fovwe. I hope all of us who have this issue can get here too.
It is always pure and unadulterated vibes with you Marina, siblings rivalry is real!!! But it was really surprising to hear that someone was prettier than you, back then in Onyearegbulem hostel in AAU you were one of the prettiest.
Very interesting video👌 this actually happened between my younger brother and and our last born 🤦♀️they were cat 🐈 and rat 🐀 a boy and a girl for that matter 😉 they fought so bad that my MOM got tired 😫 unfortunately our last born passed in 2017 and my brother regretted not making peace with her😢 I'm glad you both find a way to each arm again. Hopefully it helps others to settle their differences before it's too late 🙏
Really deep conversation. I can't really relate because although I'm the first child and I have a younger sister, and we fought a lot growing up but it was not really deep or rivalry. I was the quiet one and my sister was the fiery and protective one till date. We still disagree on certain things but we tell ourselves the truth as it is, deal with it and move on. We sharpen each other on a lot of things eg she's the fashionista, health freak and extremely generous one, and I'm the rational and financial savvy one...and run things by each other alot, all the time. Looking back, I can't say if this is due to what our parents did or did not do...however we were a small family of 4 and talked about alot of things especially after morning devotion everyday, growing up. Our mom is late but our father is alive and we often have conference calls to gist about things happening with us living in 3 different countries now. I'm so glad to see that you both worked this out and are using the experience as a reference in your own parental journey. One lesson I've learnt here is to pay attention to this with my 3 kids as they grow. Thanks for a beautiful vlog today! Do have an amazing week!
This is the story of my family. We are 9(4boys and 5girls)by one mother. Believe me, it wasn't funny at all while growing up. Watched some more than once sef! Lol! Thanks a lot and all the best.
I tell my siblings that I never want sibling rivalry now that we are adults. We quarreled growing up but never sibling rivalry. I don’t want to be outsiders to my sisters no matter where we are and what we become in life. Family is the most important equation. Thankfully, my husband is now the brother that my siblings never had.

This was really interesting to watch. I am the only daughter and i grew up with 2 brothers. My older brother made me feel very ugly and this killed my esteem, the only person that saw me as pretty was my dad and in a family of 5, 1 sometimes doesn't cut it. There are some people that are better loved from afar. If the sibling is unwilling, release them from your heart and love them from a distance, especially if there is any toxicity involved.
Thank you for your important communication. I only had one son who just finished university. How does it feel to be home? I know your husband and kids are happy to have you home again. I want to take a cruise to Canada next Summer or Fall. They only go to Vancouver. I'm a senior so that will be fine for my first trip.
What stood out for me, was the genuinity of the conversation. You both handled it maturely, yet not afraid to be vulnerable. Thank you.
I got teary when she was apologising
Me too. I had to try to make it light and move away from it quickly, lol
Love, love, love this! What stood out for me was how you were vulnerable and genuine you were with each other. Takes a high level of maturity to share.

People are often oblivious of the role their words and actions play in people's lives (especially kids). They plant seeds of competition and rivalry.
This is an important conversation. I am a first child and I can relate. I lost my sister a few years ago and our rivalry was never fully resolved.
Sending you big hugs, Nene!

So true!
I can relate with that experience of not being picked as a bridesmaid.
Funny enough, much later in my older teenage years, i was everybody's bridesmaid and i got tired, lol. I went full circle.
@@MARINAESIRI why do i like this response so much?

I learnt a lot from this video, this life is so simple that we all need to move on well with people around us, more especially our family.

Never been this emotional 😢 watching a video. Thanks for sharing Marina.
This is the story of my family. We are 9(4boys and 5girls)by one mother. Believe me, it wasn't funny at all while growing up. But we could shout it out that our house was referred to as the house of commotion. And since I am the baby of the house, those fights didn't really to me. Thank God it didn't cost any of us our lives. It was really bad. Parents should always try their best.
This video was so authentic and touching....I teared up 😭❤️
Thanks Marina, for being open and honest in your conversation. I have just one sibling but I can see a lot of similarities in both our sibling relationships.
