- Avocado trees are hardy in Arizona if you take the proper care. They will need a microclimate that provides morning sun and afternoon shade while they are young, and make sure to water deeply so that the tree stays hydrated. Baby them when young.
Special thanks to Brandon & Alyssa from Greenie's Garden ( / greeniesgarden ) for help in creating this video.

Hello Shamus can I plant avocado, banana, papaya in Italy and they grow?
Shamus have missed your videos 😀
Anyone know if a lychee can successfully be grown in a container? By the way, nice video Shamus. :)
Does the tree produce fruit?
Great info. Shamus, what care advice would you recommend for avocados & mango grown in containers? I'm in Las Vegas, NV. 89131
Do you think these avocados would live in Sierra Vista, AZ (mid 8b) on the south side of a building? I don't think the annual coldest low ever really goes below about 21-23F most winters and summer top out at about 95-100F for less than 1 week then monsoons come in and temps stay below 95F the rest of the summer after june. I see navel oranges around town so I'm just curious, what do you think Shamus?
long time no see. :-)
