A lot of reviewers suggest the filtration technology in Dyson purifiers is below average. Can you prove this machine is better than the last generation?
Silence
It is and the filter does not last long as they advertise. After a week or two the filter starts to emit vinegar smell. I had replaced filters 4 times and still does emit this weird smell.

@@hieromonk120 I’m not saying whatever I want but I experienced it. 🤷♂️Well obviously if you don’t have dyson for yourself you may think that I am saying whatever but just go find some real reviews on google. It’s not just me that having filter issue. I have two TP09 in my house and both of them having exact same problem. And no matter how many times I replace the filter or the machine itself the issue repeatedly occurs. I have two more air purifiers in my house from different brands which are LG and Blueair they never emitted any kinds of weird smells even if I cook. Well anyway if you wanna find it out if I’m lying to you then go get it and try it out.
I wished customer service actually do something about the problem associated with the model TP09 that is making a whistling noise. A lot of people are having the same problems and what you guys do is just replace it with the new item that has the same motor design failure and yet I am still having exactly the same issues as before. The biggest problem is that the replacement does not come with a new warranty. so if your warranty is done you are done.
Yeah - this puts me off buying this new device. My TP09 has been replaced twice because it was noisy, and the latest one has developed that whistling recently. I also have a BP01, and it, too started that 'chirping' sound, but it usually only lasts a few minutes (with an occasional boost to 10 to clear it).
I own a few Dyson devices - 2 fans, a hair dryer, air wrap, and a v10 vacuum, and it does seem hit or miss on quality. The plastic on the v10 was very brittle around the handle, but I managed to repair that myself. I really hope they fixed the quality on this...
same with hp04 which they have conveniently discontinued with no spare parts after only 4 years
I have 2 of them with the same issue, and also smell coming from it
@@SOMANYTRASHH Mine has weird smell too it’s like similar to vinegar.. I thought it was just mine or the way I use it. I guess it’s not if yours have the smell
I had this issue as well on my tp09 and tp04. I blasted it on level 10 for a week 24/7 and it’s been whistle free for the last 3 months.
why is the BP04 not available in Europe ?

Not sold on this. The room was empty hence why it was able to blow towards the stick smoke. Try again with a room full such as couches,TV, coffee tables, dinner tables. I bet you wont get the same affect.
i swear to god its like they have 2 monkeys designing and doing the marketing and they still didnt go bankrupt , they made this whole video showing how somehow that tilted fan is defying laws of phusics and lobbing the air forward to that stupid candle smoke thing ,i bet you if you put a simple chair in the path it wouldnt be able to make it 2 meters ,after watching it to the end its even worse somehow they believe that the air would rotate around the room and back to the machine , i cant wait for someone to do a real smoke test like with those retarded dyson fans they touted as best air purifiers an it got beat by a 10$ chinese fan pointed to the window
There are less air in occupied rooms with furniture, and air filter would work "not harder" with less air in the large room with furniture and bed inside.
really hope they live up to the "quiet" claim - the TP04 I had made serious high pitch noise
does the formaldehyde sensor output ppb? I'm not talking about the app which is ug/m3, im talking about the native sensor output. thanks

You know, ppb sensor is only $99. You will need two or three $99 sensor from Amazon to monitor location-based sensor read-out in a brand new building or recently remodeled home.
The electrical noise on standby made the last Dyson fan a couple of months ago completely usless in the bedroom. Sort out the electrical noise on standby please.

It'll be costing more - above that of the pure hot + cool formaldehyde. Looks more interesting at least while projecting air like the LG Puricare 360 series. And interesting that they have dropped the word "pure" and "cool" in favour of the word "purifier". No longer a fan.
Can this product cool and heat a room???

They don’t cool rooms, they’re fan/purifiers and sometimes heaters
It cools the room by circulating air over hot area (kitchen) to cool area (wall in shaded area of the home). Thus mixing the cool and hot air, overall temperature goes down for about 3 hours and eventually if weather is hot, entire house will have increased the even temperature to a warmer air temperature. Opening a window from cooler side of the home will decrease the temperature.
If there is a problem with a product, does Dyson always encourage you to buy a new product or a repair product? Is it only in Korea?

Air is invisible. You are missing power to see the air molecules. Many people don't have this power.

This is twice the size of TP09 or TP10.
Why don't you put some furniture and then try a "real room" test

True, the CADR ratings are NOT good at rating air purifiers.👍 This unit looks better than the fan units of the past. It looks like Dyson really tried to improve their air purification offers. However, I'm not sure how good these filter.
I realized how the lack of circulation will severely reduce the efficiency of a quality air purifier. Dyson has genuinely addressed a problem with cadr ratings with this product.
Wish it had a heat function.

Why would they name a air purifier formaldehyde after embalming fluid
Formaldehyde is a potentially harmful chemical found in many household products. A volatile, colourless gas, it can emit for years from woods, paints, glues and fabrics found in household flooring, furniture - even wallpaper. Being 500 times smaller than 0.1 microns, formaldehyde is particularly difficult to capture and when left undetected, can be trapped in a home for years.

It has a unique catalytic coating with the same structure as the Cryptomelane mineral. Sometimes the quality & functionality makes up for the price. This seems great. But I’ve used a hairdryer & vacuum and they don’t justify their price compared with what you get from other brands. Great quality but nothing exceptional when it comes to functionality & the pleasure of use. Dyson relies to some degree or other on vacuous conspicuous consumption.
Can't wait for this!

I dunno, the recent purifier (hot and cold whatever) is pretty awful, it makes horrible scratching noises, barely purifies at all (I have another AQ monitor in the room as well), not worth the money at all.

Worst service, worst air purifier.
The smell started to appear after 2 months of use. The problem was the same with other Dyson air purifiers.
I applied for service and found out that it arrived at the service center on March 19th. However, they have not given me any information until today, May 9th, and although I have emailed and chatted several times in the meantime, there has been no response and I have not been able to receive any information on how my machine is being repaired.
