You're supposed to carry paper logs in truck incase this happens
When my uncle was driving my aunt took me to I 80 and from there went west, first to Reno. This was back in 1973, the summer and I was gone for 2 weeks. That was a great experience. He kept the truck cold! At that time he had a Kenworth cabover. He used to pop pills to stay awake and pills to put him asleep. Coming back home he was sound asleep at the wheel but he stayed in his own lane and never hit anyone. Thank heavens! He stopped for fuel and took a short nap, then back on the road. I got out and my aunt took me home and he went on to Chicago to deliver. I was actually 2 days late getting back to my job but my dad covered for me.
So happy to hear that Kevin takes such good care of you and feeds you while you’re on the road with him……. Very nice of him! LOL
Reason why that driver has his 4 ways on. Because he approaching the highway. It tells the other up coming vehicles he is moving slow. Remember Kevin this a new way of showing respect to the public. CYA .
I had that problem with my ELD too. I had to clear some of old apps that were running in the back ground and it was having charging issues. I had to let completely die and then charge it back up and for some reason it wasn’t updating from the main server I had to call IT and have them fix that. Good luck!
You should log out at the end of the day then log back in. That seems to help.

sometimes when at a truckstop parked for 10 or 34 if u look on google they might be a small town or somewhere to get food thats better than truckstop not always but sometimes , i walked about a mile to a little town a couple nights ago, it was kind of interesting to just see something different

Now the real JOY OF TRUCKING STARTS, No ELD pullout the Drivers Daily Log and favorite pen and start filling out your paper log.
Try shutting the truck off with the switch next to the drivers side seat. Kinda of a reboot. It’s worked for me in the past with a similar situation.
Sometimes when you're running out of time you just have to do some creative parking
The Advantage of being ELD Exempt. All of my Drivers and Trucks are ELD Exempt. It pays to Own and Maintain Fully Mechanical Trucks with ZERO Computers on board.
I know that truck stop so very well we would stop there alot when we were on the road also

It's good to show that your ELD doesn't work that you have to write it by hand. it is not possible in Denmark. and if there is an error, i.e. work management time is not correct, the man can be fined for up to 5 years after the misreading. and it's down to a misdemeanor of up to 2 minutes, which can result in a fine
I remember one of the cheapest places to get fuel was the truck stop on the North side of 44 at Cuba, Mo.

My ELD is downloaded on my phone so during the global meltdown my phone was offline but ELD stayed connected to truck ELD so connection to the Company was disconnected so I took a picture of logs to company with my other older 4g phone and sent it in.
Make sure u print off your last 14 days or u will be in violation.

Small company? He might be governed at maybe 70. But what that matter? Crete/Shaffer/Hunt is governed at slower speed.

@@brettdaniels3606 Glad you enjoy our videos! Thanks for riding along! Crete only hires drivers with some experience. Depending on the trucking school and starter company and your driving record they will hire you with 8 to 12 months experience. Best to talk to recruitment about your specifics.

@@efil4kizum That’s a good question. Unfortunately we do not know the answer. Have t heard anything about it. Werner was paying Kevin over $200 per month to reimburse him for CDL school. He left before he recouped all of it. Crete did not pay him anything for school. But maybe he didn’t ask 🤔
