Richard Abels notes that "Western Civilization and World Civilization textbooks now shy away from the term 'feudalism'." instead of looking at similarities, specialists attempting comparative analysis concentrate on fundamental differences. Ultimately, critics say, the many ways the term feudalism has been used have deprived it of specific meaning, leading some historians and political theorists to reject it as a useful concept for understanding society.
In colonies the political and administrative classes were told that they were racially superior and will receive equivalent treatment from the British in exchange of the taxes and revenue obtained from the exploitation of the other lowly classes. Although a large number of slaves were brought into Europe from different parts of the worlds mostly from Africa and Asia but the Church made it sure to keep the Christian lands and Christian bloods pure. This was done by castrating male slaves so that they could not reproduce and by killing colored off springs of female slaves. The killing of slaves after baptizing them was considered as a great service to them so that upon resurrection they can go to heaven.
