hello friends, i'm brazilian, i have a stratocaster, like tremolo my string E (the high one) broke what would be "buddy"? I'm kind of a layman but I wanted to play this jojo overture, would it be possible to play from a stratocaster or do I have to change guitars? thank you in advance , thank you :)
good tutorial. too bad i dont have a 7 string, that would make things alot easier. tried to actually downtune my 11-54 to the original tuning. the rest of the strings were alright but the drop a took a lot of the tension away from the low e string making it really wobbly
@@DannyMGuitar I have the official sheet music and it confirms it's a 7 string in Drop A. I only have a 6 string and an 8 string though. (Though I typically find myself just playing it on the 8 string)
I am a Japanese who likes this song. I'm still a bad guitar, but I'm going to practice this song. Thank you for the good video!!!!! I'm sorry if English was funny
I tuned my guitar down to Drop A as you mentioned in the video but it sounded nothing like your guitar :( also what config are you using in your amplifier to get that kind of distortion?
Only thing i can recommend in terms of tuning is just to make sure you have either high enough gauge strings to handle the tension, or to use some pitch shifting pedal/software to tune low. In terms of amp settings, I'm using Line 6 Helix's Solo Lead OD amp with an overdrive pedal. Amp settings are Drive: 3.2 Bass: 1.3 Middle: 7.1 Treble: 5.7 Presence: 8.9. Pedal setting is Gain: 1 Tone: 6.2 Level: 10.
Yeah, in the cover I'm just hammering on the 1 fret above my first finger. I kinda just winged the original cover, and then tried to actually figure it out when I made the tab lmao. You get the same kinda effect regardless
Only thing I can say is just to use a decent amount of force when you're hammering on, make sure you're pulling off the string properly and to drench your tone with delay and reverb. The tapping part still gives me problems too to be fair.
@@danielbecker2823 It's a pinch harmonic, mess around with the position were you pinch the string and you'll get different sounds. Close to the neck pickup does it for me, but each guitar is different.
Line 6 Helix has a pedal called simple shift that does a decent enough job, I use that to get a basic idea whilst playing. Then once it's recorded I use ReaPitch in Reaper.
Because everyone has a tab tutorial which shows them playing at regular speed. Meanwhile he is THE ONLY ONE I CAN FIND. Who not only explains the tuning but also slows down and breaks it into pieces where you can understand if you want to play. So stop crying.
ha, a nice adventure.
Callum Grainger with 3 deads but a great adventure

Yeah, the song is definitely made for a 7 string, pitch shifting software is the only way I can get so low at the minute.

With a piano
Or in drop A

x2
Yeah, I'd rather be too slow than be too fast
what guitar is he using I'm new to like instruments :)
It's an Ibanez RGA121H
What is your pedal ?!
Is it me or is the tapping not the same as in your previous video? I think I have seen 3 fingers

Is this possible on 6 string lol
@@CaseyonGuitar Drop tune pedal or some thick ass strings are needed.
Any advice for the tapping lead I couldn't quite get it to sound like yours at all

This isn't even a lesson. Why does this have so many likes
Please define my video so I can title it better sir
@@DannyMGuitar it's more like you showing how to play it in slow motion. You should break the song down
"Showing how to play it in slow motion." Damn, that sounds like a tab tutorial video then.
