The motor mount was installed upside down. The flat is supposed to be facing the top. That is why you were having trouble lining it up, and had to jack the engine up higher
I feel bad for whatever customer had this done incorrectly to their car. Honestly this video should be removed. There are two way better videos out there.
@@npolite22 I thought it looked funny. My mind said to me, after market parts can be so different. Thanks for pointing that out. It's still hard to believe that it is even possible to install that upside down.
About to give it a shot. I was told the bracket is stripped where the bolt goes into it from the strut mount. Can you buy a proper bolt or bracket seperately
@9:42 when he takes out strut mount you can see it was installed wrong, mechanic put it back the way he found it. I just looked at my 2009 altima and the pointed corner of mount does aim up. Someone before this repair had installed upside down.
that rubber piece that goes on top of the larger mount is upside down; most aftermarket ones have it the wrong way (for some reason) the oem one is flipped
Hello all, I hope that I can get some help with the transmission mount.. When I try to take the top bolt off of the stud, the rubber mount turns with it. I only turn it a bit because I don’t want to break anything. But if I tighten it back, it tightens and won’t spin. I think the nut, stud, and rubber are moving together. What can I do?

Hello! You should be able to buy the bolt or the bracket. Keep me posted
Could this cause a loss of power? I have one with a cracked mount and I have to apply 1/4 throttle to get it to move.
