There are a lot of recruiting guides out there. And as someone who considers himself do be damn good at recruiting, I’m usually screaming at the screen as they give the viewers bad advice. This is actually a damn good guide. My only exception would be that it’s best to visit early rather than late more times than not. There are exceptions, but especially if you have a lead or are very close, it’s best to lock that visit up. It commits them early, which frees up space, it also prevents another team from having him commit on their visit. Overall a great guide and one I’ll recommend.
Absolutely love that ND mentioned getting a headstart on low lock. I always have 35 guys on my board. Only ever kick them off when I start losing. Have signed some decent recruits from just the passive bonuses without investing anything but a spot on the board.
Absolutely man! If you're going fast like Crowe is for the 5 year builds, then you may not always have the time to do that, but I just wanted to show people an alternative for if you were shooting for the best class possible
@@ScrawnyCFB Oh totally! Time is no issue when you're sending Maryland to the natty. Thanks for the guide though! Is that because I went too far without giving the scholarship?
@@NaruTheBlackSwan when they come in for a visit without providing them a scholarship you lose points big time. It’s happened to me a couple times and it sucks

There’s a solution for the computer signing recruits that aren’t on your board at signing day (example for 19:10 ). Add a random recruit to your board. I was having that problem while setting up my death penalty dynasties and I did that to solve my problem
That's a really good thing to know, but in most situations, I hardly consider it a problem since you can just cut them, and they beat a 40 overall walk on to fill a position requirement
Using this video today while playing for the first time since the game released. Just thought id drop a comment and let you know that this is still actively helping :)
100% Agreed. It's better to visit before your competition gets a chance to in less competitive battles. In more competitive battles that you don't have the biggest bonus on, getting a lock pick right before your visit is the only scenario I can think of where you actually want the last visit
I always try to do my visits as soon as they become available, not on a bye week of course though. If you've got a big lead on a guy you will sign them a lot of times right when they visit, freeing up those points for other guys. And it works that way for CPU teams too, which is why it's almost never a good idea to let them get their visits first, especially if they've already got a lead on a guy.

A couple things to mention, the ai don’t go after olbs that much, I do to fill position from d-line to linebackers . depending on my defense scheme and good recruiting, I could have up to 7 linebackers on the field. Also when setting up visits, I do them early as I can, and try to have offense or defense players all come in during the same visit, or at least different positions on offense or defense that have the same challenges to complete
I’ll recruit cornerbacks to change their position to safety. Then safety recruits to linebacker. Then linebackers to defensive ends. Your defense will be all over the offense.

After a bunch of fiddling I finally managed to get College Football Revamped on my PS3 and the Dynasty Tool that does its own progression system. I set myself up with a challenge which is to build the Georgia State Panthers from the worst team in the game (all 60's OVR) in the Sun Belt, see if I can then move them into Georgia Tech's conference and beat them, then onto Georgia's conference. Thanks to your guide my first ever draft class was #8 overall and best in my conference. I didn't meet all my needs, but I upgraded A LOT of positions and this team should be deadly now on offense with the new QB, RB, 3 new WR's that can actually catch, a new LT, LG, C. The defense got a new DE, DT, FS, SS, and I added in the best Punter in the recruiting class for good measure.

At the 20:00 Mark you mention the transfer prevention ordeal, does it HAVE to be after you advance away from bowl week? Or can it just be after you have played all of your games?
You would have been better off scheduling a visit with James Randall at the earliest possible opportunity. With the lead you had on Toledo, a visit would have caused him to commit immediately. @@ScrawnyCFB so do they have to advance the week or can you do it right after playing the game? Asking becuz typically the Commish would advance straight to off-season after the Natty.
Hey can anyone explain how awareness impacts the game by position and how important it is? I have a lot of athletic players with low overall ratings because of awareness
I like to think about it in 2 ways its their football knowledge of the position when I am playing the game and when I sim games it's how good they will perform on a regular basis. So if I have a trevor Lawrence qb with 50 awareness he will throw picks all day. If its 85+ he will perform great in the sim. I hope that helped!
Awareness can influence how cpu-controlled players behave, i.e. will players try to block the correct players when the ball is snapped, will they try to block the nearest players downfield, how quickly defensive players react to move where the ball is being passed, & little details like that. Awareness also influences user-controlled players a bit, primarily in how quickly they react to controller input (players can change direction noticeably smoother), ballcarriers tend to get better blocking & get better animations when contact is made, & teammates act slightly less chaotic when they're nearby. I noticed in a Tulane rebuilding dynasty that when my physically gifted & low awareness qb was in, he moved slower than his 90ish mobility ratings implied, lineman would miss more blocks, & receivers were less often open. I'd bench him for my high awareness qb when I needed to put points up, & blockers performed smarter & receivers were constantly open.
Not sure if you guys are looking at comments from this old of videos, but I'm currently deciding between pursuing a 3 star QB who went down by 2 to 66 overall after scouting, and a 1 star QB who went up by 10 to 64 after scouting. Do you guys know if that 1 star will develop faster and higher than the 3 star because of what happened during scouting, or is that not a factor once they are signed and on your team?
I do want to add this! (I DONT THINK IT WORKS FOR ONLINE) BUT! In dynasty mode you can make a "commit glitch" EXAMPLE let's say a prospect has you #1 on his list and you gave him a scholarship and he didn't Insta commit. You can go down to another prospect you didnt offer. At the bottom itll say press "x" or "a" to offer a scholarship. Go back to the recruit you wanted to offer and for a split second itll still say press x or a to offer a scholarship press that button and the recruit you want will commit to you're school. Disclaimer you have to At least have 2/3 on the Insta commit tree
I wonder if any of this will apply on the new game they will come out with. If Crowe isnt rich and quits UA-cam, will we get another series of recruiting tips?
man ive played this shit so much i look for faces and know those guys are aces. for example, taller white guy ATH with black hair with 4.3ish speed is a 96+ speed with around 90 spectacular catch. there's a few bald white guy athletes that are cheese. one will generally be 5'11-6'1". check his ratings, if his throw power is A or B you're getting mike vick 2.0. speed, agility and accel will all be north of 90 (usually closer to 94), and the throw power is usually at least 89. the other similar one will be slower but is an elite power back. and yet another will be usually very tall, says it's a mid 60s linebacker (usually a 3 star) but is actually a 78 possession wr. just look at the catch stats
Naaaaa man lol. Look…. When u first create the schedule, make your first 2 weeks open. That way you can strictly focus on recruiting. Go for the ones that’s interested in your team first especially the ones that are team needs. Then go for what you really want (regardless of interest), but go for the ones in your pipeline states. Should at least have around 20 or so prospects from that. Then you can go for them 3 stars with the squat cheese lol. Scout before advancing to week 1. During week 1, sort your board by rank. Offer everyone that you wanna keep a scholarship. The ones who are in the green (you’re in the lead) offer them a scholarship but if they don’t insta commit, take them off the board, go back and re-add them, and do it again. When u remove them, it takes their scholarship away. But when u re-add them, your team is still in the lead and u can offer them a scholarship again. Keep doing that until everyone that’s in the green commits. Distribute the remaining points accordingly. Advance week. Week 2, should have at least 1-3 more players in the green from the points and the scholarship you offered. Take those 1-3 players and remove them from the board and re-add them. Offer them a scholarship again. Rinse and repeat until they all insta commit. Distribute remaining points accordingly. Advance to week 3. Do the same shit again. I usually sign around 10 players by week 3 lol. Then after u sign enough players to where you don’t have enough players to distribute the whole 6500 points, go back to the player pool and sort by %lock. Should at least find 1-3 more players by mid-season. I always sign 20+ players doing it all this way. #1 recruiting class most of the time. Lol
Enjoyed this vid. One little trick I would add is to off-season recruiting: don't waste your points on players who arent visiting during that one week. To find out who is, just scroll to 'ready to visit' and put points only on those guys. The others will either commit elsewhere or will be that mystery non-commit that used to mean he didnt qualify academically.
Thanks for the tip! I'll be sure to test and take notes for the next guide. The mystery non-commit happens when a player doesn't reach 100% lock by the end of the offseason recruiting. From there, it appears to be entirely rng which

I don't have revamped will these tips still work for the standard NCAA 14?
When can you do the Jets franchise again
Not sure if you guys are looking at comments from this old of videos, but I'm currently deciding between pursuing a 3 star QB who went down by 2 to 66 overall after scouting, and a 1 star QB who went up by 10 to 64 after scouting. Do you guys know if that 1 star will develop faster and higher than the 3 star because of what happened during scouting, or is that not a factor once they are signed and on your team?
Daddy crowe is back bois
That last trick u did with the depth chart.... Do you lose the redshirt status also?
No, because they didn’t play a snap during the season. It pops up a message saying the redshirt will shed, but it won’t
I do want to add this! (I DONT THINK IT WORKS FOR ONLINE) BUT! In dynasty mode you can make a "commit glitch" EXAMPLE
let's say a prospect has you #1 on his list and you gave him a scholarship and he didn't Insta commit.
There's a reason this was not added
@@ScrawnyCFB I didnt ask.
I wonder if any of this will apply on the new game they will come out with. If Crowe isnt rich and quits UA-cam, will we get another series of recruiting tips?
do we have any idea when the new ncaa is gonna come out?
Early reports say it may take 3-4 years to develop.
man ive played this shit so much i look for faces and know those guys are aces.
for example, taller white guy ATH with black hair with 4.3ish speed is a 96+ speed with around 90 spectacular catch.
there's a few bald white guy athletes that are cheese. one will generally be 5'11-6'1". check his ratings, if his throw power is A or B you're getting mike vick 2.0. speed, agility and accel will all be north of 90 (usually closer to 94), and the throw power is usually at least 89. the other similar one will be slower but is an elite power back. and yet another will be usually very tall, says it's a mid 60s linebacker (usually a 3 star) but is actually a 78 possession wr. just look at the catch stats
Wait, why coach level 15 exactly?
Lol
Wheres the fun in cheating tho
Is there gonna be a pt. 2?
What platform is this on? PS4, PS3?
Xbox 360, PS3, or PS3 Emulator. Currently nothing more
Was there ever a part 2?
No need, This covered everything known back then
How to put the CFP in the game
Im going to user control 3-5 teams offline
The recruiting points system was the absolute worst part of this game to me. I loved the older style of phone calls.
14 on way here been on 13 besides recruiting how is it?
Definitely gotta sub to Legion if his videos are at least half as good as the ones he edits
He's awesome, you won't regret it
Didn't know what coach level was so I started on level 1🤣
How do you move 1 to 3/3?
is this Bengals brother
Why is a 5-2 the best defense in the game?
Is there a part 2?
No, unfortuantely
Thank you

It no fun being able to get recruits right away... I leave recruiting on the hardest
Why is yalls NCAA so fast at loading and doesn’t lag
CFB Revamped on PC :D
We still haven't learned why you put 5 pts on some guys on your board.
It doesn't do anything. There's absolutely no need to
Enjoyed this vid.
From there, it appears to be entirely rng which
@@ScrawnyCFB subbed to you... Looking forward to part2.
dope!
I work for Akron’s football team 👁👄👁
Crowe! Did you hear the news that EA Sports is bringing back College Football!!
I wouldn't get too excited. They don't exactly have the best track record at making football games for the past decade or so.
In sad my game broke and Xbox too
