We separated a year ago. We've had up and downs co parenting. Sometimes it felt we were coming back together. Even the kids saw it and they were happy. Come to find out she's seeing someone else. She's not a bad person. She's just lost.
The thing is your children may choose one of the parents to spend time with but that parent is constantly tell them no. It’s the most hurtful thing to see kids get hurt from a selfish parent.
I got my daughter's their own phone so that they could communicate with their dad as often and freely as they want. I want my calls and threads with him to be about us and for the lines of communication to be clear. He also moved about 10 minutes away which is reassuring to them. We presented this separation to them in a positive light, focusing on Dad's need to take care of himself right now.
Will it create a problem for my child to bear to stay separated from her paternal grandparents ? Actually my wife wants to stay with me but not with my parents. I am going through separation, because my wife don't appreciate my efforts, don't spend time with me and the children. She use me and the children for her and her family personal gain, which is really traumatizing me and the kids. And I am very very really frustrated right now and very very angry. My children are more open to me and not their mom like, if they want something from their mom, they come to me to asked on behalf of them.

My wife is a vulnerable narcissist because of her mother who was also one. I can respect his desire for space. Until he understands the need and is willing to do the work necessary to heal himself there might not be a whole lot you can do other than take care of yourself and be as supportive as you can while still establishing strong and healthy boundaries. My separation started me down the path but really accepting that I needed help was the real start of my recovery.

Honestly, so is mine. The day's conversation started with "100 percent done, leave me alone" to now we are meeting at the park this Sunday afternoon. the threat of divorce is something that comes up often but hasn't happened yet. Just try and present yourself as keeping it together, keep any anger in check (my issue) be giving and flexible, communicate wanting to know things from her perspective, always have something to talk about if you mention the kids and a small thing I found helps. End each conversation with a question. That way, they see it and have to continue the (hopefully positive) flow of conversation. Never give up.

If you separate while married with children, you're a bad person. It's selfish, it's destructive, and just wrong. Be adults and work it out. Your kids won't be there for you when older, because you weren't there for them when they were younger. Work it out. Don't be a trash person.

Honestly, so is mine. The day's conversation started with "100 percent done, leave me alone" to now we are meeting at the park this Sunday afternoon. the threat of divorce is something that comes up often but hasn't happened yet.
Just try and present yourself as keeping it together, keep any anger in check (my issue) be giving and flexible, communicate wanting to know things from her perspective, always have something to talk about if you mention the kids and a small thing I found helps. End each conversation with a question. That way, they see it and have to continue the (hopefully positive) flow of conversation.
