We often have a lot of discussion on loops with 1st and 3rd in the MBTI community, but never much this fusion of 2nd and 3rd. I haven't stumbled upon this concept before, and it's interesting you made a video of it, plus distributing this concept (differentiate/fusion) with all the 16 types.
There's much interesting perspectives to ponder about after seeing this video, I have to admit. Sounds like knowing how to properly differentiate the 2nd and 3rd functions and using it separately in the right times is another opportunity to be the type that one is in a more mature way.

I know as an INTJ I can be really critical of how I get critiqued, I can be a bit of a princess sometimes and the idea of 'being persecuted' pops up, when in reality I was just being a jerk and not looking at things dispassionately.

It's like you're in my head, fellow INTJ. Lol.

I think it stands to reason, because we're rare, and community misunderstood. I mean, with INTJ is stereotypically associated with being intellectual, given our Ni/Te dominant functions, who should judge? [kidding.]. I think we come off cold to the feeler types, and they want to fix us, (not happening). That doesn't leave much room for accepting criticism. I personally need time to process criticism, which is likely perceived as dismissive when it's not.

I was always curious how exactly the interactions between functions look like, but was too lazy to check. Thank you so much for not beeing lazy, Alexis! :) Great topic, great job, great video!

This destroys OP's bogus "Jumper" concept. With Personality Hacker agreeing with you fully: Focus on the auxiliary and not the tertiary.

Great video! This is the first I've heard about differentiation. This helps me a lot. I would love to hear a deeper dive into this concept!
    Thanks for another great video!!

Hey, thanks for making me aware of that concept. Seing the 2 middle functions as fusion-prone and thus potentially harder to untangle seems much more in line with my observations than the usual perception of them as being more or less equally obvious and available to the subject within its psyche.
Really enjoying your videos lately, I think they would make a really good crash course for typology-naive folks with little patience for NTi-meanderings.

I am so picky when it comes to relationships sometimes I think I will end up alone forever. It's so hard to find someone who checks all the check marks & the saddest thing is for me they end up being the rarest types of women like INTPs or INFJs for example then after FINDING one you have to get them out of their shell and have them like you ...

What do you think about the idea that someone could be ISiFiJ. It plays such a significant part in this best and worst polarization. While my Te Fi are clearly fused, I absolutely operate better as Fi. I this just deep disfunction? I can Te but Fi will always dominate. And it does feel like disfunction but it is VERY ingrained!

Great insights. Brilliant episode. A masterpiece.
The only imperfection in this masterpiece is you are using mbti and not Socionics cognitive functions.
Which, for example, makes you think Si = memory. When in reality correctly defined Si is primarily about intaking sensory information in the present moment.
And it is primarily Ni (intuition of time) that projects a spotlight into both the past and future.
True Si captures sensory details that gets stored as memory for Ni to project. But it is Ni that projects past or future images.

      If
Si is primarily about intaking sensory information in the present moment,
      then
      Se is primarily about what?
      Thank you.
