More About Hellboy: Hellboy is a fictional superhero created by writer-artist Mike Mignola. The character first appeared in San Diego Comic-Con Comics #2 (Aug. 1993), and has since appeared in various eponymous miniseries, one-shots and intercompany crossovers. The character has been adapted into two live-action feature films in 2004 and 2008 that starred Ron Perlman in the title role, and two straight-to-DVD animated films, as well as two video games - Asylum Seeker and The Science of Evil.

This isn't a dig at Rivera, in fact he's great. But it's kind of a relief to see that even famous artists use varying degrees of reference vs. the idea that they all just draw these amazing pictures exclusively from their head.
I was thinking the same thing but I also kinda think that it’s because he’s very meticulous about it like how he said with the shadows and not wanting to miss any spots where there should be one. It’s amazing watching it come to life. Also with the painting him red adding orange to make it seem like the light source is making the red pop more something I never thought about but makes a lot of sense and it really does look good.

What are the markers are you using because everytime I try to ink before I paint the marker runs and bleeds out with the color
he is using the Pentel pocket brush pen. also make sure you give your ink plenty of time to dry😁
