I've been collecting silver since 2017. I would say it's all been a positive thing for me. And I do love mcdonalds now and then. My wife would rather have an oz of silver instead of flowers
You know I have though about this recently. I have been foregoing going out sometimes cause I'm putting too much of my funds into precious metals. I gotta find a happy medium. I'm thinking about pm's too much for sure but at the same time I know i'll have enough to get by when I'm older if I live so long.
Anything that takes all of your focus and attention off the things of life that truly matter, eternal things and building relationships, that thing can overwhelm us and ruin us. To maybe your greater point, yes, it can become addictive and worth a consideration for sure. One little life hack for the silver stackers who have trouble with this, go sell 1/4 of your stack and roll that money into something else. Maybe take a vacation with your wife, or a vacation with the kids, buy some backyard entertainment (pool, grill, hot tube, new patio, whatever... ) for the family to spend more time together on the weekends. When you get comfortable being able to sell, you can break the addictive cycle of stacking. The community preaches never sell and that our hope is in our stack. Huge lie, our only hope is in Christ. ... Keep stacking (responsibly) brother.
Buy it, bury it, forget about it. I regret stacking since 1998. I think of all the fancy cars, and clothes, and tattoos, and overpriced gourmet foods I could have worn out, or wrecked, or lasered off, or excreted. I feel like I missed out. All I have is a pile of boring metals. Only two colors to pick from. I ain't ruined, though. Just salty. :)
