Easy solution to the lack of a pigtail. Cut the one off the included charger & make an adapter! 🤷🏾♂️ I have several that are still sealed in the package they came in.
Wltoys gained some fans and lost some fans welcome the bashers goodbye to the speed runners The plastic chassis equals to lack of custom-built speedrun cars It's a nice car tho Also love the subaru 👊🏽
The locking mechanism is kinda wonky if you use another battery but im sure with the right efforts it can work. Aside from that the car is awesome for the price
@@michaelfear4801 Its pretty funky dimensions, plus no space for battery straps or any other way to lock in the battery. SO it looks like they want you to stick with this new battery design. You definitely can fit their smaller 2s and 3s packs though. But Im yet to test larger packs like 5000mah.
I believe both cars are geared differently also the 124008 is running on 3s and not 2s. If the pinion size is increased im sure this can hit 50 or 60s fairly easily
great video! quick questions: the previous iterations all suffered from throttle delay, which made driving them on track really annoying. It could only be solved by a full swap of the receiver / controller. what is the situation on this new model? any change you could do a quick vid on throttle response? thks in advance!
@@wilsgrant I wouldn't get this for a dedicated track car. Not enough adjustability. Its more just a basher and in that case you wont need the precision. Its plenty quick and precise out the box with good range to go around a track and do some nice jumps. If you want the precision to be competitive this is definitely not it.
Well they dont because the O3 air unit is probably worth 2 of these cars, LOL! Well I dont because I haven't bought into the new O3 Air unit eco system. So I'd have to buy goggles, remote and the airunit to run all that plus figure out the soldering to run power to it.
I ordered one of these cars for this Christmas for my son. Super excited to try it out! Thanks for the great video. I have some 2100mah 3s from my stunchopper days complete with deans on them, gonna try some of those and see if they fit... I also have an o3 air and googles v2 but I dont think i'd want to drive a car with them, they are great for the freestyle drone. You are right about the o3 costing alot and it gets very hot, i dont know if it would do well inside the plastic body without airflow and a fan... it can even overheat after a min on the bench, its a flaw on the o3, hoping the o4 deals with it. @@GregSupe
Hello, mine only has 4 lipos, no shock, no jumps and the dogbone came out of place and roughened the mouth of the cup, apparently they come short since the pins that go inside the cup when they are horizontal go a little outside but when they are vertical one of them comes out of the cup... And that was the problem,.. You've noticed that... Has something similar happened to you ?
guys ive been searching for a bit does someone have the link of the adapter to check the battery? I cant find it (if u can from bangood would be better)
The 1300 mah capacity is a joke, even if it’s 3S. You didn’t give the ground clearance. The distance you used to get the top speed is pretty sketchy. I don’t think we care how fast it went in 50 feet. Do a real speed run.
It does about 38 MPH. It can do that in about 50 feet as well because the car is much lighter than the old buggies, even the 1/14 scale weighs more than this car. This car is tougher, cheaper, and more reliable than any WLtoys before It. It's not as fast as the old car but who cares. You can actually use this car without fear of it breaking every 3 minutes. Also there is no cog or radio delay with this car either. It's just better than all the other WLtoys.
I agree with you 100% on the toughness. Put the MJX hyper go 16207 beside this and you will see a whole lot of resemblance. They are both tough as nails.😊@@Rek_Rc
This car is just like the MJX hyper go models if you didn't figure that out either.😊😊
Looks like you had fun for a minute
Lol i know right
Great vid! Nice little car too looks like fun
Oh yeah bro i cant complain. Need to bring out your buggy
Best to just spend a couple of minutes and modify car to be able to use the batteries and plug you already have..incredible car imo...

Yea you could build one, but would be nice for them to include it since they're switching to this new battery configuration.

Expanding their line. Im just happy they are actually doing soemthing different. Thanks man, Subbie ❤️
Considering that we can put any Battery in there, I think it is pretty okay

Great vid!
I even cannot understand why wltoys use 3s for this buggie to achieve 60kmph top speed : ((
They changed the gearing, actually geared it down which is kinda smart since its focus seems to be bashing.
Great Car
Agreed 👍🏾
The car looks great! Price point is what it looks like they were going for. The battery design kills me though! But nice ride!
Its pretty awesome, ill be modding it soon to make it how i like it 👌🏾
@@GregSupe That’ll be awesome! Can’t wait to see buddy!
you know it
what other batterys can go into it ? I just got mine today

Seems like the acceleration is much much better compared to the 124017 v2. Sacrifice top end for drivability?

I experienced no throttle delays at all, I've since swapped to a dumbo rc transmitter/ receiver system and it seems a bit sharper
@@GregSupe cheers! so all good with the original car ?
if you're driving on a track wouldn't you want to spend the $60 for a decent controller/receiver combo from radiolink or something though

But… did they put grease in the diffs?
you must explain why don't they (and you) put dji o3 video plus goggles 2 to see where to go? )

The 124008's dog bone fits into the 124019 ?
Not sure but their parts are pretty universal
@@GregSupe could you investigate it? And test it?

The battery is the deal breaker. Any ways to add battery stripes so i can use batteries from my 144010 and 124017??
not without cutting the holes yourself.
Hows it going without greasing the diffs? the biggest failure point they have.
Work fine for me, but then i dont run it hard so i guess its all about the use case

Had no issues with mine. But maybe you can put in a small o-ring in the cup to stop it from going too far out that it popps out of the cup.

12th scale
