The story of the season is Luton Town gaining promotion to the EPL after such a rollercoaster ride where they had dropped out of the football league and then climbed up all the leagues to make it to the top flight of course Luton were actually one of original 22 teams that were involved in the breakaway from the football league to set up the EPL but they were relegated in 1992 a season before the EPL started so they never actually got to play in it until the end of this season so its been a real rollercoaster for them the past 30 or so years and you could make a film about it

The two teams that went down with Luton in 1992 were Notts County and West Ham (who finished bottom). Notts have just got promotion back to the fourth tier after being in non-league (and as a result have regained their status as the oldest Football League club) and West Ham have just won a European trophy. Shows you how fortunes can contrast. It was a good season for all 3.
I would guess that Notts County were involved in that breakaway too?

This season will be known as one of the most bonkers Premier League seasons ever, even if City won predictably. Forest and Chelsea's transfer market lunacy, Leicester going down, Spurs, Chelsea, Leeds and Southampton all sacking two managers. Newcastle putting up 5 in 20 minutes against Spurs. Haaland breaking football, Arsenal breaking the hearts of all their fans. West Ham somehow winning a European trophy while fighting relegation most of the year. Fulham challenging for Europe. Aston Villa, Newcastle and Brighton all finishing in the European places. Everything Nathan Jones said was comedy gold even if Southampton stunk

2.Liverpool, Juventus, and Ajax didn't play in the Champions League 2023/24. Spurs also missed out the European football just like Chelsea.
3.Leicester City went down to Championship seven years after the historic Premier League season. Ironically, Claudio Ranieri (former Foxes manager) also led his Cagliari side to Serie A back after the relegation.
4.Sampdoria mourns the passing of two former footballers (Sinisa Mihajlovic and Gianluca Vialli) as well as the relegation to Serie B after the disastrous season.

You have missed some crucial moments, like how Messi rejected the biggest offer in the history of sports, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba's retirement, Lewadowski joining Barcelona, Haaland to Manchester City and some more significant transfers, Jamal Musiala's last minute goal, Mourinho losing his first ever European final, the magic of Mitoma and so on.

@@laiswith2dots it was the coaching and man management of Howe, taking players like Murphy, a championship player and getting them scoring goals. Transforming Joelinton who Steve bruce brought in. Sorry. It's not very informed if you think money is the main reason why. Saying all that, in the coming years NUFC will spend on par the same as man u, chels, man city etc.. Then you can say it's the oil money sure, but what Howe has done is incredible

This season was pretty great. As a Villa fan we got a world class manager and got way better after the miserable start under Gerrard. But my favourite part of the season is still the world cup, it was amazing to watch that every day in the cold dark miserable winter.
