As a gearhead, this is one of my favorite scenes from this show. I love when Crockett starts flipping all the switches on the dashboard and you hear the engines turning over. It's like a monster being woken up.
Chuckle, dam good mortaring, tracking a moving target, 600-700yds away, with what, 20"-30" hang time, with one good eye, bad depth perception.😁 loved that 38KV Scarab!!! The Stinger was nice too.
You mean "impossible" mortaring! Its hard enough zeroing in on a fixed position, but a speedboat! There is no way he got so close with every round! I couldn't do it and I have two eyes!
Another one of my favorite episodes/scenes. My WellCraft Scarab speedboat 🚤. My best friend James Sonny Crockette. Man this man had such a positive impact on my life. My other best friend Tubbs , Crockettes partner also had a positive impact on my life as well
Man i love your uploads and the quality, could you please please upload the scene of Tubbs dancing in the stripclub on the song Somebody’s watching me ?
I think the Mortar was to more to let Crockett & Stone know the people they're chasing can get heavy weapons & next time it will be heavy weapon that won't miss.
I still have this on VHS that I taped in '86. It's like..it seems to take forever for Sonny to get the Scarab going and up to throttle to get out of mortar range. If you watch close enough against the white building you'll see the first mortar 'bloop' as the first round leaves the tube and heads in Crockett and Ira's direction.
According to my reliable sources, James”Sonny”crocket was born in July 29, 1953. Sonny was subsequently drafted by the US Army at around 20 & served in the 1st cavalry division(airmobile) for two tours in the Vietnam War.
Shows today are bland because they're afraid to do that. The best show I've seen in recent history is called Happy! It doesn't take itself seriously at all and is over-the-top, but there are serious moments. Sadly, so underrated that it didn't make it to a third season.

Tall about "suspension of belief"

Love MV, had my dvd boxsets for years. These HD clips are astounding, they make it so much more immersive! Absolutely awesome!

Agreed
One of the best scenes. Everything was perfect.
MIAMI VICE star DON JOHNSON's directorial debut
I could get use to sleeping on a houseboat. The rockin' would put me to sleep.
Then the explosions wake me up...💥😏🎶
2:25 That my friend is a face for radio.
Love it. Thanks for putting it up. 👍👍

Thx for posting....
Fantastic quality. Where can I get these HD versions of MV?
What an unconventional weapon to try to shoot a moving object
Don't remember this one! I have some binging to do.
G Gordon Liddy was in it
Lack of training in mortar...
The VC get an A for effort
If Crockett is a Vietnam veteran, then how old is he supposed to be in the series?
He quoted,, coney island?
around 30 years old
If we use Don Johnson's birth year (1949) as the starting point, it would make him about 36 yrs old here.

@@jaxxmaxx100 Couldn't be. Sonny said in "Deliver Us From Evil" he had been working for the police for 20 years.
Incoming!!!!
And just like that...Crockett is back in the war, wearing that same look of panic I bet...
Mr Hmong. G. Gordon Liddy’s hitman.
Maynard's Vietnamese toady was an uncredited role by Japanese pro wrestling legend Antonio Inoki, I think.
Notification squad.
Bob Balaban before he chilled out and started programming AI (2010)....
Miami vice seemed cool at the time, but watching it now, it is so cheesy and unrealistic.🙄

i remember watching this a while back....the guy yelling incoming was so over the top....i stopped watching
@@NBUltra187 Probably the dude's PTSD kicked in and he instantly back in 'Nam.
But that's part of the charm and of course you are supposed to suspend your disbelief. I love it, this one is goofy though with the mortars.
