I love the blocking, it's adds another good layer of characterization to an already kind of quirky song!

Adding the phones destroys the interaction, and ruins the line "it's too late to screw." The signers did a good job, but this is a great example of a director getting too into their own ideas and taking away from the performance.

Ummmm I believe that's kind of the point- What makes it funny is the level of corniness. Also the piece speeds up so the song somewhat calls for overly done movement. I think that it also adds to the humor of it all
