I met Mr. Martin in October 2021. He shook my hand and greeted me like we knew each other for 20 years. Fabulous man. Along with Rey and RD, great men.
My neighbor has a helicopter spray business- these applications use very little carrier combined with rotor wash for the spray. It took me some time to wrap my mind around the calibration of this gear. I don't grasp how ULV can be done on a drone platform without the rotor wash.
I still don't completely understand drift management on aerial, so I'm rolling my eyes at drones- then again I grew up with a rotary phone making anything possible.
On AG crops it is possible to control drift via controlled droplet devices. Trying to imagine droplets large enough not to drift, at low volume, and still able to hit enough of a small target that turf is.

That's why I can't see drones happening- maybe for golf course? I took a class on GPS spraying before that was happening and now it's mainstream. You'd still have to mix and load the drone from a support scene- I'd hope we see a street legal Steel Green before we see drones! 😆
