Even after watching your beta test videos and reading the discussion forum for this game, I still don't understand why this is an online game. In your previous videos, it felt like you were engaging with what essentially felt like a single-player game, there was nothing that benefited from having another player around. Is the online stuff just a ploy to extract more money from the players in the future?
would love for people to use universal time as a way to plan things ot just put thr universal time in the caption or a pinned comment. it is just easier for people in eu and i suppose in asia
If you want a fairly short yet fun puzzle game for a video, i highly recomend Miss Paint. It was actually made by members of the super mario maker 2 troll level community, and as such some of the solutions are a bit goofy.
I knew there would be people recommending miss paint and I am in full agreement. Also I bet you could make some legit interesting puzzles with the custom maker tool

Reminds of the "New Tetris" game released on nintendo 64 back in the day, when you made a perfect cube of various colours, the whole cube would turn silver with a very satisfying animation and sound effect, if you made a cube of 1 colour, it would turn gold with equally awesome sound effects...
A little sad this game is going to be mostly streamed cause I really enjoy it and don't have the time to watch streams, but it fits the format so well that I don't blame you for doing it this way. Super excited to see what you have in store

When I saw this video start at puzzles that I had not gotten to yet I had to mainline the main quest to get here so I could watch the video without spoilers and Im glad I did cuz this section was really good! Loving this game thank you for highlighting it on your channel!

The block puzzles in this video really remind me of an old flash game called "Bloxorz", one of the puzzles looks straight out of that game. Different size cubes were a good way of fleshing out the concept, it's a cool puzzle design.
According to Icely Puzzles, who worked on this game, Islands of Insight was intended to be _competitive multiplayer._ This explains why the game is always online and there is a skill tree. The trouble is that they apparently couldn't figure out how to make the competitive multiplayer part work but also couldn't just discard all the background work that had gone into the structure of the game (all the coding was set up to be an MMO; making it single-player would have been so much more work). This is why there are weirdly truncated multiplayer functions.

For a sec I was like “why is this so short, who only plays this much?” Then I realized playing this game for literally 10 hours a day since release was probably NOT the normal experience actually

I AM LOVE WITH THIS GAME! It's probably a slightly unhealthy relationship, but it's too good, 1st person good platforming, sick puzzles, just everything, this game tickles every neuron of my brain.
Still not really sold on this game. I think that 100 curated and focused puzzles that iterate on each other is much better than a huge smattering of puzzles that range from uninspired/mindless time wasters to a few actually compelling puzzles.

Bought the game the minute it came out then subsequently havent slept since buying it. I complted the main "story" but there is way more than just 24 hours of content on this games lifespan. I reckon if it picks up enough traction and is good for the channel that it could last for a few months.
