We just do 3 gifts per child for Christmas too. It goes with the story of the three wisemen. Plus it teaches the kiddos to be more grateful and not get greedy expecting more gifts. We don't like clutter either, so they also give away their clothes and toys they outgrew at this time. They get excited that their nice old belongings will bring joy to other kids!

I love that you are taking the initiative to educate yourself about racism its so very important for everyone to do that sort of self reflection and work.

So to quote my son's favorite sweatshirt " Everybody Love Everybody" he is my hippie who really is a lover not a fighter. We should all live and live like small children. Blind to differences in looks and material things but love them as a living being and cause no harm intentionally and try to understand that we share this world. Love and Peace

Could you do a house tour . And also could you show some of the different outfits you make from your minimal wardrobe please . I found your channel yesterday and I have watched about half your videos already . I live with my husband we are in our 50s and have a very cluttered house . I am really interested in minimalism and have been decluttering for months . So your videos are so inspiring to me thank you :o)

it must be hard to start your minimalism journey when you are in your 50’s since you have a whole lifetime of stuff to go through! i’m 22, turning 23 soon, and i’ve found it hard to declutter the few things i do have in my apartment. i’ve practiced concious shopping and decluttering of my clothes for about 6 years now, so i’ve got that down pretty good by now (i FINALLY managed to get my wardrobe down to under 100 pieces of clothing a little over a year ago now and that has been my goal since i started! i think i have something like 70 at this point). i’ve only lived on my own for 2 years now, so i haven’t got that much stuff. i almost didn’t have to buy anything for my kitchen when i moved out of my parents’ house since my mum and dad had a ”rule” that me and my brother had to get at least one thing that we would use when we moved out (things like glassware, cooking utensils, ceramics etc) every birthday and christmas starting when we turned 15. i think that’s why i’m having such a hard time decluttering my kitchen since the majority of the stuff i have in there were gifts. there’s so much stuff that i haven’t even touched since the day i moved into my apartment and unpacked all of the boxes because it’s impossible to know what things you’ll use when you’re like 17. there’s some things that i thought i would use all the time but in reality i’ve only used once or twice, and also the other way around with things i thought i’d rarely use that i use quite often. i have adhd and i’ve noticed that my brain is at its happiest when things are clean and tidy and when there’s not a lot of things around and where i’m having to make the least amount of choices. tidy house, tidy mind and all that jazz.

My minimalist journey began when I started moving to different cities (because of the job) and I realized that it was not easy to move with too many things which I did not use or like

This was really a great video. I enjoyed hearing about your journey and found it inspiring (I feel like the fact that you took photos of your rooms when you were young must be a sign that you were meant for minimalism haha!). I also appreciate your addressing Black Lives Matter and speaking about racism in our world. I follow other channels but very much like how thoughtful and authentic you are here. Great work. Keep it up!

Great video! I loved the pictures that went along with your story! I am really curious about your process for decluttering your digital photos. Do you have a video on that?
Also, along your journey how did you know when it was time to let certain items go? Did you have a sort of mental shift or breakthrough?

I love the way you mend items so you can keep using them. I do the same thing. The environment is somewhat protected when we do that. Can you make list of the sustainable companies you approve of. I heard on the internet that Everlane is not as transparent as, for an example, Patagonia. I have always had Everlane on the top of my list when I purchase a new item because I need something. What do you think are the best companies to buy from when you need to replace a item , like a piece of clothing or shoes?

What’s the brand of your trampoline/rebounder? What exercise do u do as a minimalist? I have a needak rebounder and i must say it’s a minimalist workout because it targets and works whole body by just doing gentle bounce.
