Great action in that first game, Roma vs Torino. The Roma keeper had a mare, but there were some fine goals nonetheless. I think Carnevale's was probably the best of his career. In the second half though I think he conned that penalty, he just seemed to dive without contact as soon as he got in the area! A pristine looking green pitch on a fine sunny Italian day, talented players passing and shooting with great skill; that epitomises Football Italia's appeal to me in the early 90s.
I find these episodes oddly relaxing to listen to in the background, in 2024.
