Amy absolutely rocks the goth look. I used to be a goth kid in high school and she nailed the fact that most goth people are really nice to people who deserve it, and scary to people who deserve it. Good job, Amy.
I hung out with some goths in high school, you're absolutely right. My parents weren't exactly letting me choose my own wardrobe either, so I looked preppy AF... no judgment from the goths. Just warm acceptance.
And that goth doesn't always mean doom and gloom. People often confuse that!

I literally had a goth friend in college like this. I remember them tracing a pattern on my forehead & I was like "a-are you cursing me?" they replied "no! I'm drawing a protection sigil!" It was weirdly wholesome
Edit: as I was typing this it got to the part of the vid were she draws us a protection sigil 😅
Yeah they forgot to ask permission but it's still a nice gesture. Just remember consent is important even when doing things like creating a protection sigil. Always explain before you do something and I say this as a beginner witch. I'm not even at the level I can do stuff like that.

Same. I may not be goth, but my friends say I have a emo aesthetic; I have been know to stand up for people. I think it’s funny because I am shy and definitely not confrontational, but when I see people being mean (to other people) I get the courage to stand up to them.

i wish i had a friend like this lovely character back at school... my family and friends kept saying "ignore them and they will get bored of bullying" but that never happened. now i'm learning to be myself, with all the strangeness and uniqueness, yet it's such a slow process...
It does leave a scar. Even into adulthood. It would be nice to say that those people and what they said didn't effect me but, they did. It's taken years to be okay with myself.

Pffft I had to go back and check and I don't think the early ones had bad quality, but yeah, I can see what you mean. This channel definitely evolved. I'm going to go back and investigate other ASMR channels and their humble beginnings.
Sort of an "ASMR time machine/capsule" from before it was profitable. Interesting the ideas that materialized and the trends that were present at the time.
Alright went back and legit watched the very first video. I always caught her roleplay ones with Goodnight Moon's and Gibi's stuff. The sheer amount of ASMR content in the past 3 years has me astounded.

Yep, same here. I was the defender, but never was defended. Did not sit well with the bullies. 15 years of this takes a toll, even if I´m in my 30s now.

I'm pleased that based on this list my mental health is pretty good. My room is a mess as always, but other than that all good. Thanks for doing this BTW, seems like the kind of thing that'd be valuable to a lot of people.

ive had a bunch of people purposefully misgender me in my community lately and its seriously been making me feel really suicidal (again,) and just yesterday someone deadnamed me and then laughed with their friend at me which if you don't know; is an extremely humiliating, dehumanizing, and utterly belittling experience, even when unintended (which was not my case..this person was trying to be malicious lol)

I do use highlighter but in my videos I used LUTS that help sometimes! I also have oily skin so it may be a combo 😆

I’ve been out of school for a long time now (longer than I’d like to admit 😩), but I love these classroom role plays. I had a friend I met in 9th grade who was almost exactly like this character. She was my saving grace on most days, and I’m still in touch with her today. I know I’ve said it before, but you really are doing so much good with these videos, Amy! 💜 Thank you!

I was friends with the goth kid in my school, we bonded over crystals, they used them for energy and relaxation I liked them cause rocks are my special interest,
They knew I didn’t see crystals in the same way as I did but they’d still give me some whenever I felt down (I’d also get them crystals from my local rock fair down my street) and I swear to you they were one of the nicest people I’ve ever met,
So seeing this video really brought back good memories

This is what I would’ve needed in school. I just recently found out that I am autistic and people in school bullied me for „overexagerating“ everything and not being good in subjects I couldn’t get behind (made me have mental breakdowns). I would’ve just loved to have this kind of person in school. They’d have gotten all the hugs for days if they were comfortable with it.

@@plantmanstudios Exactly. That is what I am working on. Building up my self worth especially with some coworkers I have. Saying “no” and knowing my boundaries was a big problem for me but now I can handle more and say no when I just can’t do something. I’ve also learnt how to stabilize myself and be better when I have a depressive or anxious episode.

This character has to be my fave so far ^_^ I love all your characters, both original and cosplayed (ie Triss), but this one has a special place in my heart already because when I was in high school, I was bullied severely and the ‘goth girl’ in our grade, complete with spells and crystals and the like, stood up for me and became my best friend, and even saved my life. Thank you for this one, and I really hope we get to see her again (plus, she looks really cool and is super sweet!) 💖💖💖

That was my experience. In trying to figure out who and what *I* was in high school I mingled with a lot of different groups and made both friends and enemies in most of them. The group I didn't make any enemies in was the goths.

I'm writing a book called ZERO DAWN (or at least I'm trying to) but I thought I'd include you in it because you're one of my top favs when it comes to ASMR and I only go into it a few years ago and I mean it when I say, I love your work to be honest you're the first one I got into listening to when I first started listening to ASMR content thanks for being so inspiring and helpful to those who need it the most like me.
You should save the titling for once the story is written. Find something meaningful from the story to name it after. People love that shit.
