I have a pair of the Campo! They were a little stiff at first but I love them and they are so comfy. I work them for a 4 hour retail shift the first time I wore them and had no issue!

I had the same problem with the tongue on the V10s and I just folded it. They look great and after 3-4 wears, it stays folded even as you take them off
I have the V-10 (white with the black V) for over a year now and love them. They're so classic and fit well into my wardrobe - no sneaker did before, apart from the classic Converse. Eyeing the canvas version for next summer now. Thank you for your detailed review!

I bought 3 pairs of Veja's because of you! I'm a 41.5 and have the same half size problem. 41 fits with thinner socks and my Birkenstock insoles but I have horribly flat feet and am supposed to use custom orthotics but the heel cup is so deep in my orthotics that it pushes my foot too far forward and crushes my toes but with the smaller insoles the fit well. I have two pairs of the leather V-10 (both are from the Madewell collab) and a pair of dusty rose suede Esplar and none of those were made in a 42 if I'm not mistaken. I would love to get a pair of the Roraima just because I love that style of mid height sneaker and either the Rick Owens V-Kint or Condor for the gym sometime in the future. Thank you for introducing me to this awesome brand!!
Thanks, I've bought the V12 and had to return them because the tong was so stiff. I will order the Campos it seems that the tong of the shoe is more flexible.

I purchased the leather V-10 a few months back in the same colour way as yours after much consideration. You're right, they go with everything. The first time I wore them I absolutely hated them although I have to say that I didn't choose the best day to break them in as I walked in them 5 hours straight. They are very uncomfortable the first few times you wear them. I had to get used to the very high back that cut into my heel and the large tongue that felt like cardboard rubbing into my ankle. I was very upset because I'd given it a lot of thought before purchasing them and they are not the cheapest. I'd never before thought that you had to break in a pair of sneakers, they are supposed to be very comfortable from the start so I thought I'd made a huge mistake in buying them. After a few more wears, though I absolutely adore them. They are so stylish that they elevate many of the looks I would usually pair with high heels or more feminine shoes. Great review, I should have watched this before getting my first Vejas so I'd been more prepared of what was coming. I'm thinking of getting the Wata style for my hubby as he loves Converse but has wider feet. Thanks for your great tips!
I have 5 pairs of the V-10's and for the tongue issue I fold the tounge under so it just lines up with my low ankle socks. Works great. No rubbing or stabbing into the ankle area. I guess I could cut them though!

Hello Emma! Thank you for this amazing video! I have the V10 and I used their own website. Normal service, nothing extraordinary tbh. I think it took a bit longer than expected to receive the package, around 6-7 days (ordered on a Friday, arrived the next Friday). I like to buy things directly for their own website, even when I book a hotel cause this way the company does not pay fee to external providers. :)
I live in Spain and I ordered from the website last week and it was delivered in just 2 days. I got the campo but now im eyeing the V10. About the size, im a size 42 with wide feet and the campos are spacious. No blisters at all. So I highly recommend them.
I have a black leather pair of the trainers. I bought them 3.5 years ago. I've worn them one year every other day for everything. Then washed them good and degraded them to "lab day shoes" After one year in the lab (and minor washing between) I put them in the washing machine again and used them for one complete tennis season, because I could not find my tennis shoes. After all this they hold up sooo well that I put them into the washing machine again for a third time and now I wear them every other day again. I NEVER expected them to hold up so well. It's just crazy.
I have the V10's in the white with white V. I am a 36.5 and got a size 37, perfect. The tongue was the slightest bit stiff and sharp in the beginning; normale breaking them in by wearing them for short periods in the house or out when I knew I didn't have to walk too much, helped perfectly. Now they are like bedroom slippers. I have some YSL trainers which even after a year kill the front of my ankle, so these are winners.
Dear Em, we DO rely on you for product testing and advice! I’ve been reluctant to try Veja’s because I have wide toes and their style, with the hard rubber that comes up over the toes (what this American calls Keds style, maybe in UK Plimsolls are similar?). I couldn’t find any wide sizes on their site and I’ve checked back several times.
I have 5 pairs of veja trainers ( different styles) and I love them all . I want the black and white nova ones next. I have got mine from the veja store and service was great and quick delivery to Ireland .

Hey! Me and my other half have both ordered from the veja site! Super easy and they keep you updated really well! Although I did go in to Office (another stockist!) to try them on before hand because returns to them are at the customers expense 😊
They are made in Brazil, which is where I live, but for wathever reason the brand here is named vert, not veja. Same models, same sneakers, though. I have the v10 and I absolutelly loooove them. I always say, d'ont give up on them in the beggining because of the tongue rubbing. They get really comfortable after a few uses.
Most accurate review ever. I am half size and I have tried them on but I found them very uncomfortable. But if you say they will get softer eventually I guess you are right.
I am usually 8.5 or 39 and the Size 39 (UK6, USA8) fit me perfectly too. I had to go into store to try on coz Emma's sizing dilemma scared me off purchasing without trying them on. I also find them very comfortable.

They’ve always caught my eye but I wanted to avoid a new obsession 😂 Anyway, I specifically wanted to try the Campo but sadly sold out in my size so I tried what was available in store: Recife, Rio Branco & Volley all in size EU 38. I’m typically size 37-38. The Recife with Velcro are cute except too much Velcro was exposed (hook & loop length) and I don’t think I have super wide feet or anything. Didn’t buy anything yet 😅
Reading these comments I think I was very unlucky with my purchase. I have the V-12 model. Made from recycled plastic bottles, feels like I'm wearing plastic. My foot doesn't breath at all in this shoes. Ever since I bought them about 5 months ago I'm wearing them at least three times a week and the leather is still very stiff and uncomfortable. Right after I bought them the stitch came undone at the front and because I ordered from OFFICE and it was sold out everywhere in my size I couldn't even return them. The glue also leaking next to the seam constantly. Weirdly everybody is complaining about the thongs but I had no issue with it.
Great service on their site - had a discount code and delivery was within 2 days within Europe - they also have colors on their site I couldn’t get anywhere else - top!
I’ve got a couple pairs of Esplars and a pair of Rio blancos, both very comfortable!! I bought one pair from veja directly but would probably just look for stockists in future due to delivery charges. I had a query about sizing which they weren’t very helpful with, but I think that was maybe a language barrier and not poor service.

My first pair was a v-10 and amazingly I have no issues with them..they are absolutely comfy! Probably I have thicker skin on my feet??!?! 😅😅 And I got another 2 pairs of v-12 which are amazing too!! ♥️ And I have to agree.. it is hard to stop at juz what we already have!! 🤣
Love this brand. I actually don’t think £115 is that expensive for quality trainers. I have far more expensive pairs but trainers are my go to footwear. Great Vid. 😘
Just took them out of the box. Ordered from the veja website, the service is good. The fit is fantastic, though the tongue will take some time to soften.
I recently bought a pair on their original website and I have to admit, that if you wanna return them, you have to pay the returr shipping . For me as a customer in Germany, I’m not used to pay for a return so it was a little bit shocking ....
I’ve used the Veja website, as I live in the American South. I’m a US/UK/EU 12/11/45 in most all shoes. My first pair was a V-12 model in size 45. They were TERRIBLY , PAINFULLY small. I then checked out the size chart and it said that it was a size US 11.5. Lengthwise they were fine, but width wise they were too narrow. This was worsened by the “old leather”. I ordered them in final sale on Mr. PORTER, so I couldn’t return. This time around I got a V-10 and a Rio Bronco, in a size EU 46. They fit perfectly.
Great video, but sadly, Veja's and I do not get along very well. My feet need the breathability and flexibility of leather footwear and I actually tore a tendon after wearing Veja's for a day of heaving walking (confirmed by my podriatrist). Too bad, because they are beautiful. Wearing G-Stars now which are gentler on the tendons.
The Wata's are almost no where to be found even your link was sold out. Hopefully they come out with new ones in the spring. Dying for a cap toed canvas white on white sneaker that is not converse. Muji had what looked like a cool pair but they did not sell them in the states from what I could tell.
I have had my eye on them in my local branch of Office. As a half size myself, I feel for you and if I can try before I buy I do. Come the spring, probably: I work in an office so my useage of trainers is limited. I’ll almost certainly go for leather. Incidentally the history of rubber production in the Amazon is grim, to put it mildly. Even in the 1920s the abuses were recognised as being massive.
That historical abuse was all Leonardo DiCaprio's doing! All of it! (joke) Thank you for bringing this up because unfortunately the rubber boom caused irrevocable damage to indigenous communities. 😞
Whether or not it’s still available even on Amazon (pardon the pun) I don’t know but try “Exploration Fawcett” by Col. PH Fawcett written in 1924 though my copy is 1950s. Fawcett himself disappeared on his final expedition in 1925 and many stories surround him. He was a bit of a character and a good friend of Arthur Conan Doyle; the rock formation becoming “The Lost World” was identified by him and without doubt the character of Lord John Roxton was modelled on Fawcett. “The Lost World” is Doyle’s best known work apart obviously from Holmes. Some of the views they both espoused sound decidedly odd now but in the aftermath of the First World War spiritualism was at least understandable and was mainstream. Sorry to ramble a bit!
I really wanted a pair of Veja trainers, so I popped down to Arket (they stock them here in Berlin), to try some on. I was devastated.....I resembled Minnie Mouse; I looked absolutely ridiculous in them. Maybe I just have funny feet? Ah well.......
I got the V10 and they were SO uncomfortable when I first wore them - I had the worst blisters ever and had to wear Birkenstocks for a few days after.. :D But after that horrible experience I never ever had issues again and i reeeeally love them now. :)
Hi Emma ! I'm french and this is my experience with Veja. The website and the shipping process is GREAT and incredibly fast, but I went to the first Veja shop in Paris (rue du Poitou in Le marais) and they don't have all the sizes and styles because everyone went to the shop and they were out of stock in european size 37 and 38. I bought the Campo in burgundy but my normal size is a european 37,5. The 37 were too small and the 38 a bit big but as we are in winter I choose the 38. The campo style is incredibly comfortable and I tried the esplar and they are less comfy.. My sister has the V10 and in this style they are waaaaay bigger. She had to size down one size. As you said the tongue of the shoe is hard and way to long but we cut it and it was fine. In conclusion, Veja are a very nice brand and I recommend it :)

Unfortunately, I had to sell my veja v10 trainers again because they were one of the most uncomfortable sneakers I've ever owned. This is really sad because I ended up buying some puma sneakers which are far away from being produced in an ethical and sustainable way.

I m thinking of ordering the NOVAs (actually I 'd prefer the black WATTAs but they re sold out) but I m afraid of bying them online because I dont even know if I am a 40 or a 40.5 -there were even cases that I wore 41. It really depends on the shoe and there s not a way for me to try them out in a shop, as I live in a small town in a small country. So I would like to ask; if you have ever worn Converse Canvas, what size fits you? I m asking because I m a 40 in those and maybe I can compare our sizes and know which Vejas to get.

Have Veja V-10 in the classic back & white. Ordered from the main site to Denmark. Main reason is thats the only place that has womens 35 to this day. Ordered v-10 and esplar, chose v-10 based on personal preference, send the other style back for free. No complains there. Also had discomfort at the beginning. My (and a friends as well) issue with vejas is that the inside cotton material on the heel peels off after a year, super uncomfortable and repair is expensive. Anyone else have that issue?

I totally loved the style but the tongue was sooooo uncomfortable I decided to return them 😔 Everyone was saying that they were super comfortable and I though I had the problem but, after watching your video I may give them a real chance this time. Please, can you confirm that my feet and ankles won't regreat it because of the tongues?🙈 Thank you!!!!
It does take a while for the tongue to wear in - but try following some of my tips from the video to help with this 👍🏼 As once they are worn in they are very comfy 👍🏼

@@camarona83 Hi in my Vejas I wear an EU 37. In regular dress shoes like flats or sandals I wear a 6.5 us and in athletic sneakers I usually wear a 7.

Around 17:30 you can see that the Wata's are actually not going to last. The rubber sole is separating from the canvas material.

Hey! Me and my other half have both ordered from the veja site! Super easy and they keep you updated really well! Although I did go in to Office (another stockist!) to try them on before hand because returns to them are at the customers expense 😊

I think Campo is more comfy for long walk
They are made in Brazil, which is where I live, but for wathever reason the brand here is named vert, not veja. Same models, same sneakers, though. I have the v10 and I absolutelly loooove them. I always say, d'ont give up on them in the beggining because of the tongue rubbing. They get really comfortable after a few uses.

I think I am the only person who finds the V10s comfortable from the start. I know others struggle with them.
Most accurate review ever. I am half size and I have tried them on but I found them very uncomfortable. But if you say they will get softer eventually I guess you are right.
For me size wise is no problem. 39 fits me perfectly.
I am usually 8.5 or 39 and the Size 39 (UK6, USA8) fit me perfectly too. I had to go into store to try on coz Emma's sizing dilemma scared me off purchasing without trying them on. I also find them very comfortable.

They’ve always caught my eye but I wanted to avoid a new obsession 😂 Anyway, I specifically wanted to try the Campo but sadly sold out in my size so I tried what was available in store: Recife, Rio Branco & Volley all in size EU 38. I’m typically size 37-38. The Recife with Velcro are cute except too much Velcro was exposed (hook & loop length) and I don’t think I have super wide feet or anything. Didn’t buy anything yet 😅
Reading these comments I think I was very unlucky with my purchase. I have the V-12 model. Made from recycled plastic bottles, feels like I'm wearing plastic. My foot doesn't breath at all in this shoes. Ever since I bought them about 5 months ago I'm wearing them at least three times a week and the leather is still very stiff and uncomfortable. Right after I bought them the stitch came undone at the front and because I ordered from OFFICE and it was sold out everywhere in my size I couldn't even return them. The glue also leaking next to the seam constantly. Weirdly everybody is complaining about the thongs but I had no issue with it.

I love the brand! They are made in Brazil with brazilian inputs and here they are sold under a brand named Vert, the exact same models!
Great service on their site - had a discount code and delivery was within 2 days within Europe - they also have colors on their site I couldn’t get anywhere else - top!
I’ve got a couple pairs of Esplars and a pair of Rio blancos, both very comfortable!! I bought one pair from veja directly but would probably just look for stockists in future due to delivery charges. I had a query about sizing which they weren’t very helpful with, but I think that was maybe a language barrier and not poor service.
Hi Emma! Thank you for this great video! I have juz recently got my 3rd pair of Veja..after learning of this brand from you in your previous videos! I juz love..love them! My first pair was a v-10 and amazingly I have no issues with them..they are absolutely comfy! Probably I have thicker skin on my feet??!?! 😅😅 And I got another 2 pairs of v-12 which are amazing too!! ♥️ And I have to agree.. it is hard to stop at juz what we already have!! 🤣

Love this brand. I actually don’t think £115 is that expensive for quality trainers. I have far more expensive pairs but trainers are my go to footwear. Great Vid. 😘
Just took them out of the box. Ordered from the veja website, the service is good. The fit is fantastic, though the tongue will take some time to soften.

I recently bought a pair on their original website and I have to admit, that if you wanna return them, you have to pay the returr shipping . For me as a customer in Germany, I’m not used to pay for a return so it was a little bit shocking ....

I’ve used the Veja website, as I live in the American South. I’m a US/UK/EU 12/11/45 in most all shoes. My first pair was a V-12 model in size 45. They were TERRIBLY , PAINFULLY small. I then checked out the size chart and it said that it was a size US 11.5. Lengthwise they were fine, but width wise they were too narrow. This was worsened by the “old leather”. I ordered them in final sale on Mr. PORTER, so I couldn’t return. This time around I got a V-10 and a Rio Bronco, in a size EU 46. They fit perfectly.
Great video, but sadly, Veja's and I do not get along very well. My feet need the breathability and flexibility of leather footwear and I actually tore a tendon after wearing Veja's for a day of heaving walking (confirmed by my podriatrist). Too bad, because they are beautiful. Wearing G-Stars now which are gentler on the tendons.
The Wata's are almost no where to be found even your link was sold out. Hopefully they come out with new ones in the spring. Dying for a cap toed canvas white on white sneaker that is not converse. Muji had what looked like a cool pair but they did not sell them in the states from what I could tell.
I have the V-10,s and I am going to get the Campo. The first time I wore the sneakers, I wore the tongue to the side. No big deal.

I have had my eye on them in my local branch of Office. As a half size myself, I feel for you and if I can try before I buy I do. Come the spring, probably: I work in an office so my useage of trainers is limited. I’ll almost certainly go for leather.
Incidentally the history of rubber production in the Amazon is grim, to put it mildly. Even in the 1920s the abuses were recognised as being massive.
That historical abuse was all Leonardo DiCaprio's doing! All of it! (joke)

Whether or not it’s still available even on Amazon (pardon the pun) I don’t know but try “Exploration Fawcett” by Col. PH Fawcett written in 1924 though my copy is 1950s. Fawcett himself disappeared on his final expedition in 1925 and many stories surround him.
He was a bit of a character and a good friend of Arthur Conan Doyle; the rock formation becoming “The Lost World” was identified by him and without doubt the character of Lord John Roxton was modelled on Fawcett.
“The Lost World” is Doyle’s best known work apart obviously from Holmes.
Some of the views they both espoused sound decidedly odd now but in the aftermath of the First World War spiritualism was at least understandable and was mainstream. Sorry to ramble a bit!

I really wanted a pair of Veja trainers, so I popped down to Arket (they stock them here in Berlin), to try some on. I was devastated.....I resembled Minnie Mouse; I looked absolutely ridiculous in them. Maybe I just have funny feet? Ah well.......
I got the V10 and they were SO uncomfortable when I first wore them - I had the worst blisters ever and had to wear Birkenstocks for a few days after.. :D But after that horrible experience I never ever had issues again and i reeeeally love them now. :)
Hi Emma ! I'm french and this is my experience with Veja. The website and the shipping process is GREAT and incredibly fast, but I went to the first Veja shop in Paris (rue du Poitou in Le marais) and they don't have all the sizes and styles because everyone went to the shop and they were out of stock in european size 37 and 38. I bought the Campo in burgundy but my normal size is a european 37,5. The 37 were too small and the 38 a bit big but as we are in winter I choose the 38. The campo style is incredibly comfortable and I tried the esplar and they are less comfy.. My sister has the V10 and in this style they are waaaaay bigger. She had to size down one size. As you said the tongue of the shoe is hard and way to long but we cut it and it was fine. In conclusion, Veja are a very nice brand and I recommend it :)

Unfortunately, I had to sell my veja v10 trainers again because they were one of the most uncomfortable sneakers I've ever owned. This is really sad because I ended up buying some puma sneakers which are far away from being produced in an ethical and sustainable way.

I m thinking of ordering the NOVAs (actually I 'd prefer the black WATTAs but they re sold out) but I m afraid of bying them online because I dont even know if I am a 40 or a 40.5 -there were even cases that I wore 41. It really depends on the shoe and there s not a way for me to try them out in a shop, as I live in a small town in a small country. So I would like to ask; if you have ever worn Converse Canvas, what size fits you? I m asking because I m a 40 in those and maybe I can compare our sizes and know which Vejas to get.

Have Veja V-10 in the classic back & white. Ordered from the main site to Denmark. Main reason is thats the only place that has womens 35 to this day. Ordered v-10 and esplar, chose v-10 based on personal preference, send the other style back for free. No complains there. Also had discomfort at the beginning. My (and a friends as well) issue with vejas is that the inside cotton material on the heel peels off after a year, super uncomfortable and repair is expensive. Anyone else have that issue?

I totally loved the style but the tongue was sooooo uncomfortable I decided to return them 😔 Everyone was saying that they were super comfortable and I though I had the problem but, after watching your video I may give them a real chance this time. Please, can you confirm that my feet and ankles won't regreat it because of the tongues?🙈 Thank you!!!!
It does take a while for the tongue to wear in - but try following some of my tips from the video to help with this 👍🏼 As once they are worn in they are very comfy 👍🏼

I have been 👀ing a pair of Veja from office for a long time but the ££'s is out of my pocket. I've been on ebay but cannot see the ones I like in my size. I got my first Veja this past weekend, a campo, but something is bothering me and I don't know if anyone else has noticed it. Does it make a sound on the wood floor? it sounds like plastic not soft rubber?
