There does exist a fan edit of *Son of Sleepaway Camp* that fans of the series did to bring it more in line with the series, however this is an *official* and widely released alternative cut for international markets. *Son of Sleepaway Camp* was the title given to this film by an Italian production company that owned the rights to sleepaway camp as a series in Europe and Asia. They gave it the new title and edited pornography into it, to get in an X certificate as the print they had received was heavily edited for gore, so they used to porn to get it a x rating and trick people into thinking it was a much more graphic horror film. The fan edit removes the porn, adds in deleted material from this and other sleepaway films, changes the music, does some ADR and inserts some references to Angela. So in short there is a fan edit, which has confused people but this is an officially international cut of the film, and was made years before Internet fan edits were a thing (1989 apparently).

I was so damn confused when I watched this the first time. I found it on UA-cam as Memorial Valley Massacre, but then the title said that it was Son of Sleepaway Camp, and I lost my damn mind. As derpy as they are, I love the first two Sleepaway Camps.
