Hey yo, been watching you Brice and this time gotta say your channel is most definitely one of the better ones out there.. Love how you pay attention to vision like no other furthermore, your simplified explanation of bio mechanics, body rotation and its like is a thing of beauty.. Best..👌
Going to give the hip rotation concentration a shot. Makes good sense. Tried clearing out the off arm and catching the racquet to help rotation, but that wasn't the best. Hips sound easier and will be more effective. Thanks! 😊
The off arm being cleared is a product of driving through the hip followed by the torso. If you drive through your hip to initiate the swing, your off arm will clear naturally.
Hi! Amazing video as always, It’s amazing that you are sharing all these tips for free… I was wandering if there is a video in this channel that can help me with my forehand problem. When I’m playing a match and I receive a slow ball (it happens a lot at my level) I find difficult to use the correct angle of my racket face. Sometimes it is too open and this results in a long ball and if this happens, I’m gonna be thinking to keep it close for the next shot, that will be really short and in the net. Maybe it is only the fact that I’m scared to hit hard during a match… I will continue to watch your videos hoping to improve in some ways!
This isn't related to hip rotation , but just wanted to ask you how much does my stamina level need to improve. I jogged for 3.5 km then ran for 300m without resting and then I was left with stamina enough just to play tennis for 15 mins . So can you please tell me how much more stamina is needed to play tennis tournaments (I haven't played one) or is this much stamina enough??
Is it not that hips should not rotate past facing the shot direction during the shot? My understanding is that rotating hips through contact (stop rotating at contact) is not beneficial, or that is not correct ? thanks.
The hips definitely need to rotate past the direction of the shot on some forehands. With that said, if you are a beginner then the type of forehand I'm explaining might not be appropriate I'm for you at the moment.
@@TennisHacker Thanks, but I was talking about transfer of momentum from body rotation to arm just before contact. Federer, Djokovic, Nadal and Alcaraz all stop hips and body rotation just before contact, then during follow-through rotation continues. This is necessary to accelerate arm due to transfer of momentum, and I think exact angle does not matter that much but rotating through contact would hinder the transfer. Thanks.

Very good videos.
I hope in the future you can make a video of the toss in the serve.
