In this video I was torn on which Small Puzzle bag I loved more so I thought it's best to order both and see which one worked better with my wardrobe. I've been lusting after this bag for 4 years. I think this is the longest I've sat on buying a bag ever.
I LOVE gold hardware, however I also love a good tan leather & I'm surprised there is a $300 price difference between the two leathers/ colors. It would have been awesome if they mashed both bags together to make the ULTIMATE Puzzle bag with the ULTIMATE specs. I love pebbled leather and I LOVE GHW.
Did you know the Loewe Puzzle bag first made its debut in 2014? Designed by JW Anderson this cuboid shape is unique, can be folded flat and worn multiple ways. Since its debut, it has captured the hearts of many bag lovers the world over. Known for its minimalist unique design it is quite futuristic at the same time.
I would love to know which one you would have chosen and why? Which colour do you love more? What size do you like? Medium or Small? I have always been drawn to the small size.

I also ordered the light caramel and the tan to compare both. I ended up choosing the tan. I find that the hardware is not really noticeable on this bag...I don’t think twice about whether I’m wearing gold or silver jewelry when I use this bag. I also prefer the smooth leather over the pebbled. The light caramel color was also nice but just a bit to warm with orangey undertones for my liKing. The tan is literally the perfect shade of tan. Hope you enjoy using this beauty!

I’ve always had this weird vision of myself going to Spain one day and getting Loewe bag (or two) as a souvenir. So I’ve been doing some research and this was so so so useful! 💖💕

I like the lighter color with the GHW best, not only for the color but bc the top Flap lies better/flatter on the bag in ur modshots. However, I don't care for the two different type of leathers, or the stiff strap, and higher price. You have to go with what makes ur heart sing. Which ever one u choose enjoy it❣️
You’re right, also the lighter colour looks more expensive, and yesterday I bought shoes that match the light coloured puzzle 🤭

Great comparison; it was very helpful! I leaned towards the light caramel because of the gold hardware and pebbled leather but now I'm convinced that the tan (cognac) would be much better overall due to the darker brown. It would go way better with my outfits and I love the mention of the softness and pliability of the strap.

I have the soft caramel and I don't have the other strap to compare but I definitely see what you're saying when you feel like it has some sort of coating/film. I've had mine for a year and it's held up fine!

Hello dear! I have two puzzle bags. The first i got is a tan small size. I love it so much that i wanted to add the slouchiness of a medium size too and i was hunting the blue stone colour that they released earlier so i got it preloved. I can say BOTH are my most used and loved bags and i have over 30 luxury bags including Hermes, Chanel, etc. I like how understated Loewe is and the quality of the leather. I personally prefer the smooth leather and i am more into silver hw. I am Spanish and Loewe is the most luxurious brand we have and we also share leather craftmanship tradition as Italy and France, that is why many LV bags and others are made in Spain. So i would say go for it and be patient and look in the preloved market unless you want a limited edition or particular color in store now. Big hug from Shanghai ❤️

I do love the slouch look. I love Spain. I’ve travelled there and I must say the people are very lovely, atmosphere and food exquisite TFW 💖💖💖🎉🎉🎉
I also have both the stone blue and tan in the small size. I too find myself reaching for these more than I reach for my other bags. The smooth leather is so durable and it’s just a very comfortable bag to wear. The tan goes with everything in my closet and the stone blue color is also very versatile. I especially love wearing the stone blue with my light grey coat in the winter. If I could only keep one bag in my entire collection, the puzzle would be it!
This is so informative for me because I was curious about the differences between the two except for the colors. Thank you for posting this video! Are you having them both with you? I am curious if the soft tan color has any scratched or get easily scratches by nails. I love tan color over the soft caramel but the leather looks more solid on the pebbled leather of soft caramel. At a first look just solely based in color, i would have gone for the soft caramel. But based on the condition on your particular two pieces u made the right call keeping the tan.

I don't like that they changed the style. But I'm sure it's due to cost on making them.i loved the feet at the bottom, the wider strap, the extra inside pocket, also the back. But I love anything with gold hardware.
Hi! Love your reviews thanks so much for posting! I went through the EXACT same dilemma. I love GHW, but I also love the original reddish tan, but I also loved the hardy pebbled leather! UGH. Ultimately, I went with the Red Tan with SHW because no one can do the Red Tan like Loewe. I too got my bag from Harrods and a MUCH better price as well. My recommendation go with your gut and why you ever wanted the puzzle bag to begin with. If it's for the tan......that red tan is it.
I wish they could have mashed the two together and made the ultimate puzzle. Pebbled red tan leather with ghw. Would make it easier for us 😆❤️

I love the tan too. Was more keen in toffee but at the shop the tan just looked better. However, there is only the new Edge design in tan now 😢
I still cant move on about their change from 2018 edition which they have addition chain on the downside which now only applied on medium one

The tan is soo much nicer! I just got mine in the medium. The caramel looks a bit yellow in tone and not as neutral or classic as the tan. Like you, I wanted gold hardware at first but it really works better with silver it’s more fresh x

kimcurated it is a big bag and at first I thought maybe I made a mistake BUT yes the zipper looks so narrow on the small but it’s so cute in that size, I’d like a navy small next year . Did you keep one in the end?
Bee Rachael I kept the tan with silver hardware and am thinking of getting the same size in the black, still thinking not sure yet 😆

I’m waiting for mine to arrive in the post from Harrods too! I’ve been wanting to get this for ages but while I was hesitating between colours, the price just gone up and up each year. I got a good deal out of Harrods due to the sale/reward. I’ve gone for the caramel colour simply because of the GHW. I would so much prefer a true tan with GHW, but I guess I have to let one element go!

I was lucky to purchase an unused small tan Puzzle with silver hardware off my favourite uk resale site 2 weeks ago. Initially I wasn’t sure whether I would keep it ( usually I would use a new bag immediately but didn’t want to use this as we were still on lockdown and I’m using hand sanitizer every 5 minutes!)- but the more I looked at it the more I fell in love. The workmanship and leather quality is outstanding. It’s currently £1,800 new here but I got it for just under £1,200,which I think was amazing considering it was never used and had full set. It holds such a lot for a small bag but is so light, and I think the opening will get easier as the leather softens.
I’m glad you prefer the tan- tbh I’m not keen on the gold hardware on this more casual bag.

I love the one soft caramel with gold hardware but after seeing the wrinkly strap id choose the tan instead but my heart really goes for the ghw😂
I found the end of one side with logo stamp on the bag zipper opening, a few stitches only on the outside, not like the rest of stitches on both outside and nylon part, looks like just glue to the nylon zipper part, is it normal or defect? Thank you for checking this for me in advance.
Curious if you protect or clean the leather and how? And also if it does well if you're caught in the rain. I got a couple months ago and am afraid to take it out if it rains. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Both of them are lovely but definitely the one with the smooth leather and silver hardware is more lux to be honest. I have the puzzle bag on my radar for quite few years but I never really went ahead with buying it, now you made me check it again after watching your video and noticed the price increase! Ugh! What to do! I love the new colors but the tan color is definitely a must have in everyone's wardrobe! PS. I am super glad you returned the Fendi! It was not well made!

It does, it’s hidden in the top corner of the bag where the zipper is. It’s quite hard to find
