Hardcore R3 fan! Owned it from 2016 for 5 years. Most user-friendly and touring capable in the segment. Going again for the new R3 doesn't make sense, but still, I wanted to. I expected a price of 3.99L to revive the memories. But for now, RS 457 makes so much more sense or save a lot more money and get something substantial.

They have been stuck with their 1-2 commuter two-wheelers for years! they haven't realised that the Indian automobile market is going through premiumization, people are going for bigger n premium bikes..Bikes aren't just a mode of commute in the Indian market like it used to be 20-30 years back! The Economy is growing and so the people's income, hence they are ready to buy bigger bikes or cars provided they are priced well! 🤨 At least these Japanese should learn from Indian biggies of RE,TVS and Bajaj, how far these Indian brands have come in the last 15-20 years!

Parallel Twins under 400cc always were and still continue to be a Gimmick! go for singles, save heaps of cash, enjoy more torque, and lastly (this is where young people fall for completely false information from wannabe "GURU automotive journalists" a better overall exhaust note. Yup. don't trust them, trust your ears. a low displacement (under 400cc) parallel twin engine sounds completely dogshit. whether if it's a 90 degree crankshaft (tractor like exhaust note) 180 degree (sounds like muffled Laksmi bomb ngl) 360 degree (sounds like a garbage truck) 270 degree (decent but doesn't have the bass of a single) Hope this helps!

To survive and compete in this segment with others Yamaha need to bring it via ckd soon and then later manufacture in india. It will be cheaper than aprillia if they decide to make it here. Can’t buy it at this price point, ll cancel the 8 months old booking. Booked rs 457 today. Ll buy if the ride quality and feel is awesome, else ll have to wait for r3 to come as ckd or would rather go with a used ninja 400
