Make haste, oh Lord, do not delay,
To deliver me from my foes,
Who contrive many ways my soul to slay,
And to multiply my woes!
Let them be confounded and put to shame,
In all their evil schemes,
No more to gloat in ill-gotten gain,
When Your mighty hand my soul redeems!
Let all those who seek Thee be glad and rejoice,
And ever magnify Thy name:
Help me, Lord, that I, too, may find a voice,
Poor and needy though I am!
Make haste, oh Lord, do not delay,
To deliver me from my foes,
That I may praise Your Name, oh Lord, alway,
For suppressing all my woes!
