Being a Ford guy, and having used many c4 and c6 transmissions. Don't forget to run a vacuum line to the modulator valve on the transmission. It won't shift on it's own without it. And u can adjust the shift firmness by screwing in the adjustment screw inside the modulator valve.

Fwiw, if you want to go back to 4x4, the predecessor, to the sidekick, the samurai, used a divorced transfer case and is a really common swap into sidekicks in the 4x4 world.

On the serious side for a change.Rotate the differential to find the gear ratio,versus the new transmissions output ratio as the engine will be rotating at such higher RPM's.You will probably have to change the differential period.Not just due to ratio,but for the posi.Thanks for reading this.You guys are Awesome!

I think the tow hook in the front is for a winch, these are serious offroaders 😁 Remember the body of this car is not a structural part of the vehicle, this is a body on frame car, so you can cut up the body as much as you want and the car is still safe 😁
