You need to mention Michael Jackson. The song was written for him and was on his Off The Wall album.
Wow that's insane. The girls sound in places almost like a brass section 🎺
I couldn't find better words, really insane!
Those harmonies are gorgeous! Particularly nice to hear the lead voice of Amanda Taylor, recognized her from Groove For Thought, the jazz acapella group featured on The Sing-Off (Season 2)
we love y'all so hard!
Subscribing to you on Spotify right now!
Hot Damn, what the hell was that! Amazing! It's like Stevie WOnder and Chick Corea had a musical love child. Super complicated but every note is spot on. I hope this finds an audience who can appreciate sophisticated, complicated, very busy, music like this - because it deserves a wide audience. Well done.
Oh, I hope Stevie will hear that! 😃 He will be amazed, like me! ❤
What a beguiling vocal arrangement, and kudos to the band (beautiful soprano sax solo)! Yes, "I Can't Help It" was written by Stevie, but you gotta call out that this fantastic song is on Michael Jackson's Off The Wall album. Love this jazzified cover -- well done, Säje!
Definitely need to mention Michael Jackson. The song was written for him and, like you said, was released on Off The Wall.
Clarinet, not Sax.
@@nioc00 No, soprano sax. Perhaps you've never seen/heard one, though if you've ever seen/heard Kenny G, you know what soprano sax looks/sounds like. But if you don't want to take my word for it, read the video description 😊.
@@BassByTheBay I dunno, I just looked. It was straight, no bends, to me, that's a clarinet.
@@BassByTheBay Just looked it up. I was wrong. Thank you for your clarification!
“I can’t help” was one of those songs buried in a mountain of Michael’s work which was buried in a mountain of Stevie’s work and with that said, I say thank you for that rendition.
Holy paJAMas!!! This is so freaking crazy amazing 🎵 ❤️🔥 🎶
I see what you did there ;)
It's been strinking me every time from the beginning: when it comes to polyphonic singing, säje's "trademark" is definitely one of a kind and recognizable among all of the vocal groups on the planet - not to mention your four exquisite voices. Not that uniqueness is always a guarantee for quality but in your case, it's just a big wow!
I Can't Help It is my favorite song on my favorite MJ album. This is an extraordinary interpretation of the song here. Good work!
What a great introduction! Thank you. I'll check out their album, too. Amazing vocals and band. Excellent song choice.. Very original.
Even though Stevie wrote this I will always see Michael all over this first to sing and record this beautiful piece.😉😌🫶💫🫶🫶💫🫶💯🥂
This arrangement is incredible. The harmonies... Goosebumps.
They collaborated with Jacob Collier? That sounds like a perfectly natural pairing. Just beautiful and praise-worthy rendition!
Erin was part of Jacob‘s band on his last tour 😸
Excellent musicianship all round!
This group of voices is truly fantastic! Very cool initiative, from Pomplamoose displaying new discoveries. In a world of so much competition, this shows that there is a place in the sun, for everyone, especially for those, who love what they do. The all concept is super, including their fashionable jumpsuits! Super!!💗💓😻💯💫
They look so comfortable. I just went right to sleep.
Incredibly tight wow. Those vocals are remarkable. Excellent band and top-shelf performance. The accents and dynamics are insane.
OMG I'm dead. This is EVERYTHING!!!
Wow, I just finished listening to their Album and then this treat shows up in my feed?!? - I am having a good music day - Many thanks! - Cheers.
I remember the young lady that sang lead in this song was in another vocal group. But I don't remember the name of that group. She was fantastic in her former group, but now she's really shining. These girls are amazing.
Hahaha Chauncey. Love it. Always a slay from these ladies
My favorite MJ Song is of course a SW Song and you did a wonderful thing here.
It's magical! I'm stuck with my mouth open). Fantastic sound! Thank you!!
what abeautiful rendition. So much character!
This is some incredible cohesion. Not only the vocals that sound like one but diverge when tastefully called for, but the rest of the band really shine.
Side note, check out Esperanza Spalding's arrangement as well, if you dont know it yet.
Thanks for the tip.
I’m instantly a fan. Fantastic!!!
Yeah....I can't help falling in love geeze❤❤❤❤❤
Oh jeez, that is just too good! 😮😮😮
Most excellent. Thank you for sharing.
I love them so much! They are amazing!!
Boah, thats wonderful - please more Jazz like this - thanks ❤
Mind alternating. I didn't think that I could love that song any other way than how Stevie did it
... but , you got me.
I'm all In.
Looking forward to more mind bending
Extraordinary! Love it!
Perfect...Oooo We💜👏👏👏👏👏!!
God. These vocals are CRAZY.

CHILLS!!! Thank you.
Sounds great! the fire coming off that drummer, wow :)
Yes! Amazing cover😊
Brilliant!
Wow… stunning.
Loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing voices,
WOW!!!
sooooo incredible
"säje" is practically a Finnish word; informal or dialectal variation of "säe"; meaning a phrase or verse in a song or poem
That was an awesome conversion! Loved the emotional and melodic changes to drive the harmony against the seeming dissonance--which actually made me not even think of the progression lest I miss any part of the excitement being generated. No wonder they are liked with that kind of music. Even I detect at least two plus genres of jazz and four chords. And I am not great at that stuff.
Great harmony. wow
I just got it they have that Manhattan Transfers flavor, Janis Siegel one of my favorite.
Amazing ❤❤❤!
i'm happy! brightl music of my life!
The puppet!!! 🥰😆
Superbly blended voices!
Sooooooo Good 🤗🤗🤗
This is so beautiful! 😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
So good!!

Good stuff. The world needs artists like these.
super fun!
So sick!
Dang! Those harmonies are so tight! How in the world can those girls keep it all in tune?! Like one Micro tone off and the harmony is no good.
What harmony
Immaculate work!
This is wild. It's great!

Lets go 🎉
Это удивительно! ❤
02:52 - This is insanely good.
Wow!!!
Wooooooooowww
BRAVI!!!
So good! Fun to see the drummer from Jacob Collier's tours and the sax player from snarky puppy too!
Love this so much i wanna play this for my 16th birthday 😭
Wow this is really really good 🤩
This remind me Gretchen Parlato a bit
Thanks for the discovery Pomplamoose !
Love the jammies :)
This may be one of the coolest things....ever!🔥🔥🔥
Pure Heat 🔥🔥🔥🔥
😮😮😍😍🤩🤩 incroyable!!
Bring it back!49s to 60s sound is great who ever mixed
Could a kind soul direct me to a place where I can buy their debut as a wav or flac thingy? Thank you!
wow
Like Pomp I'm sure the women don't take requests but if they did another of Mikes songs buried was "Human Nature" on Jackson's Thriller album. Wonderfully acoustic song.
Very nice ladies
Oh, wow! Sooo good. Cool, great, fresh-sounding jazz. (Thought I recognised Jacob Collier's superb occasional drummer, Christian.)
But, of course Erin too.
Self publishing at this level of quality is liberation for great creative artists like these.
Checked out the album. So cool ❗️
まじヤバ👍🏻
Очень очень понравилось!!! Спасибо большое! ❤
this is damn good
すごくいいです❤

Dear Ghod. That's lovely, *but* I now need to see this on sheet-music so I can work out the time signatures :)
I did several years singing with a choir, and as a consequence time-signatures are so... in my head?
Is that doable for this - maybe even for the original?
It's in 4/4 all the way 🙂
@@matth9914 No, really?! I'm hearing bits of 5:8 and 5:4, and all kinds of stuff banging through that! It's still totally lovely :)
Omg
1:13 I literally yelled "I recognise her from 'the Sing-off'"
Lilita carrio en el teclado it's something else ❤
💙
Chocolate and Vanilla HARMONY 🎉🎉🎉
Ladies: if thats what they are......nice PJs!❤
Incredible. That's the comment.
Can't help it. I totally prefer hearing & seeing four angels in colourful pijamas than wee Collier and his alter egos in his zoom room.
