    Thank you so much for this. Should the person in Mexico follow the webpage "Visa authorization by family reunification" for the family reunion permission request? Thank you!

      Yes, if someone in Mexico is seeking residency through marriage, they should follow the webpage or process related to "Visa authorization by family reunification" for the family reunion permission request. This process typically involves applying for a family reunification visa or permit based on their marriage to a Mexican citizen. It's essential to follow the specific guidelines and requirements outlined by Mexican immigration authorities for this type of visa application.

    What are the requirements for a group or family tourist.
    Do we need to apply separately

    • @visalibrary
      @visalibrary  4 місяці тому

      For Mexican residency through marriage, you need to apply separately for residency. However, for a group or family tourist visa, each member must apply individually, though you can submit the applications together. Each application requires a completed form, passport, photos, proof of financial means, and payment of the visa fee.

    Since we were married in Mexico should we go to the INM Office in Mexico or here in the states?

    • @visalibrary
      @visalibrary  5 місяців тому

      Since you were married in Mexico and are seeking Mexican residency through marriage, you should go to the Instituto Nacional de Migración (INM) office in Mexico to process your residency application. The procedures and documentations are usually handled directly within the country where the residency is being applied for, which in this case is Mexico.

    Thanks for the vid, really informative! I don't understand tho, why you need a roundtrip ticket, if my intention is to stay w my wife for example? And you need economic solvency for this visa too? I read somewhere that you can have a signed document where your family member states they can support you financially! is that true? Thanks!

    I’m a Mexican citizen and I married my American wife 32 years ago in Mexico. My wife’s name on our Mexican marriage certificate has her maiden name. When we returned to the US, my wife legally changed her last name ; dropped her middle name and just uses my last name. Will the name difference be a problem when we apply for her resident card? Thank you.

    • @visalibrary
      @visalibrary  4 місяці тому +1

      The name difference should not be a major problem when applying for her resident card, but you'll need to provide documentation of her legal name change. Include a copy of the legal name change document (e.g., court order) and ensure all documents are translated into Spanish by a certified translator if necessary. This will help clarify the situation for Mexican immigration authorities.
      Here's what you should do:
      Provide Legal Name Change Documentation: Include a copy of the legal document showing her name change (e.g., court order or marriage certificate with the name change).
      Certified Translations: Ensure all documents, including the name change documentation and your marriage certificate, are translated into Spanish by a certified translator if they are not already in Spanish.
      Consistent Documentation: Provide consistent documentation of her identity, such as her current passport, U.S. driver's license, and any other official identification showing her current legal name.
      Affidavit: Consider including an affidavit explaining the name change and its history. This can help clarify the situation for the Mexican immigration authorities.
      Consult Mexican Immigration Authorities: Contact the Mexican immigration authorities (INM) or visit a Mexican consulate to get specific guidance and ensure you have all necessary documents.

    Thanks my exact question is Can my husband (Tanzanian) request for the NUT in the Kenya Consulate or the nut must be requested in an INM inside Mexico?
    It's way more convenient for us to request it while in Kenya since we are here now rather to have me fly back and forth from continent to continent to request the nut. Then have to return to Africa to accompany him on his visa apt after we get the NUT since I also have to be present.

    • @visalibrary
      @visalibrary  10 місяців тому +1

      For obtaining Mexican residency through marriage, the NUT (Número Único de Trámite) is a critical step in the process. However, the NUT must typically be requested at an Instituto Nacional de Migración (INM) office within Mexico. This means that your husband would generally need to start the process in Mexico rather than at a consulate abroad, like in Kenya.
      However, immigration procedures can sometimes have exceptions or specific circumstances where different rules apply. Given the complexity and the potential for changes in policy, I would strongly recommend contacting both the Mexican embassy in Kenya and an INM office in Mexico for the most accurate and current advice. They can provide specific guidance tailored to your situation, including whether there's a possibility for your husband to initiate the process while in Kenya.

    If I marry my Mexican bf here in the Philippines, does he have to go back to Mexico to do the family reunion visa? Or we can both do it here in Philippines too?

    • @visalibrary
      @visalibrary  8 місяців тому

      If you marry your Mexican boyfriend in the Philippines and plan to apply for Mexican residency through marriage, typically, the process for obtaining a residency visa based on family reunification can be initiated at the Mexican embassy or consulate abroad, including in the Philippines. Your husband would not necessarily have to return to Mexico to start the process. You can apply for the visa at the Mexican embassy or consulate in the Philippines, presenting your marriage certificate (properly apostilled and translated if necessary) along with other required documentation as specified by the consulate.
      However, it's essential to contact the Mexican embassy or consulate directly to confirm the specific requirements and procedures, as they can vary and may have been updated. They will provide you with the most accurate and detailed instructions on how to proceed with your application for residency based on marriage.

    if i renew my passport what happens to the visa stamp? Do i need to renew the vista stamp for the new passport?

    • @visalibrary
      @visalibrary  9 місяців тому

      When you renew your passport, the visa stamp in your old passport remains valid as long as it has not expired and is still affixed to a page in your old passport. You do not need to renew the visa stamp or transfer it to your new passport unless your old passport has been lost, stolen, damaged, or expired.
      However, it's essential to carry both your old passport with the valid visa stamp and your new passport when you travel. This allows immigration authorities to verify your identity and visa status. Keep both passports in good condition and travel with them together to avoid any issues at border crossings or immigration checkpoints.

    • @visalibrary
      @visalibrary  5 місяців тому

      To apply for residency in Mexico through marriage, you'll need to start with a Temporary Resident visa. You'll require your passport, a visitor card or FMM form, proof of marriage (apostilled and translated if married outside of Mexico), proof of address, and payment for the application fee. Once you have these, you can apply at a local immigration office in Mexico. After two years of temporary residency, you can then apply for permanent residency.

      The laws and regulations governing the acquisition of permanent residency in Mexico differ based on your unique circumstances and the kind of visa you possess. But, marrying a Mexican citizen may qualify you for permanent residency.
      If you are presently on a temporary visa, you may be eligible to petition for permanent residency based on your marriage to a Mexican citizen. Some documentation and conditions, such as evidence of marriage and financial stability, may be required as part of the procedure.

      That's correct. For obtaining Mexican residency through marriage, you do not necessarily have to visit a consulate in your home country to apply for a family visa. This process can often be initiated directly in Mexico. However, it's essential to ensure that you have all the necessary documentation and meet the specific requirements set by Mexican immigration authorities. It's a good idea to consult with immigration experts or contact the local immigration office in Mexico for detailed guidance and to ensure compliance with all legal procedures.

    Marriage family visit So easy From Egypt Family Visa don't need

    • @visalibrary
      @visalibrary  7 місяців тому

      To obtain Mexican residency through marriage, if you are married to a Mexican citizen, you can apply for a temporary resident visa initially, which can lead to permanent residency. The process generally involves proving the marriage's validity with official documentation and meeting the application requirements set by the Mexican government. It's important to gather all necessary documents, such as a marriage certificate, proof of economic solvency, and the Mexican spouse's identification.
      For Egyptians or individuals from other countries, marrying a Mexican citizen does simplify the process of obtaining residency in Mexico compared to other immigration pathways. However, it's essential to follow all legal requirements and possibly consult with an immigration lawyer to ensure a smooth process.
      Regarding family visits, having a family member with Mexican residency or citizenship can facilitate obtaining a visa for visiting Mexico. However, the specific requirements and ease of obtaining a visa can vary, so it's advisable to check the latest regulations from the Mexican embassy or consulate.
