Thanks, you're right of course but I'm lucky that in front of my house is nothing but fields for miles, I can see Skiddaw and the Buttermere hills in the distance.
The plastic is to help with the germination of the seeds and to retain moisture. Usually crops that don't grow well in this climate. Normally around this area they plant Maize, it's usually used as feed for the animals as it's so expensive to buy in these days.
