I was at Dimash's concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022. There were two premieres of songs, the music for which was written by Dimash himself. We, the audience, had not yet come to our senses from the song "The Story of One Sky", as all the lights went out in the stadium, and a giant figure of Dimash in black appeared in the dark. The beautiful to the point of madness "El Amor En Ti" began. This song was an absolute surprise, because no one knew about its existence in advance. I've never seen a performance like this.. It is necessary, someone came up with the idea for four vocal parts to create four fantastic images: Giant Dimash in black (they say, the projection was the height of a 7-storey house) - fatal, philosophical, wise in life experience. Dimash in white (a little smaller, about the height of a 5-storey building) is full of life and the desires of youth, energetic and romantic. Dimash in red (equal in height to white) - the link between youth and maturity, a burning heart, a fire in the blood. And the unexpected fourth Dimash is a small living person against the background of giant figures. The whole unusualness and trick in this song was that high-class academic classical singing with baritone, tenor and soprano was combined with singing in the style of pop. And it was so cute that you want to listen to it and listen endlessly. Greetings from Almaty, Kazakhstan

I flew to Kazakhstan for the first time because of Dimash's concert.
the concert was world class, just spectacular, almost 4 hours.
Dimash is a musical wizard, both this song and Story of one sky were heard for the first time. It was powerful, first of all, the 30-meter-high holograms, for me it was the baritone that sounded the most powerful, resounding over the whole city of Almaty. Just an amazing experience. Dimash on stage means four hours of extraterrestrial experience. And his high soprano notes, they vibrate through the air and pierce the body like a wave and carry you along, an unreal feeling. It was one psychologist who commented that the Dimash vibration works at an angelic frequency and has a real healing effect.

What mind-blowing versatility he has. I adore the baritone register and I wish he would use it more. This performance leaves me wondering who the true Dimash is. I know all the identities are real, but the baritone sound just seems more authentic and speaks to me. People like vocal fireworks though. I, for one, don't always need my mind blown again. Dimash has done that many times already, Sometimes I want to feel that the performer is speaking directly to my heart, and here it almost happened.

For me, it's like when Dimash is in one register, I think he's the best there, but when he switches & is in a different register, then I start thinking "no, he's the best here!" Actually, he's perfect in every register, so it's hard to objectively compare. But I must admit, there's something in that baritone.....🔥⚡🌋🤯

    • @DiaLinwen
      @DiaLinwen Рік тому +4

@FretsOnFire For me too. Yet, I think it's important to remember that actually he is not a baritone but a tenor. Both he and his teacher said so. It also becomes clear when you listen to most of his live performances - they are much more in tenor and soprano range because it's easier and more natural for him. The same when he sings acapella or improvises. If baritone was a more natural register to him, he would definitely use it much more. So the fact that being a tenor he still can produce such a beautiful baritone is amazing.

Dimash is a miracle, so his absolute powerful and unshakable presence on stage, compared by some to a god of music, sometimes to a prince or king, the energy he absorbs from the Universe, then how he anchors himself to the Earth, his connection with the Divinity, all at a place, it gives him the strength and confidence to "command the audience, to order the orchestra, to order the song", so that everything comes out the way he wants and how Dimash feels, that is unique. All these qualities are only at Dimash, absolutely. The goosebumps and hypnosis induced by Dimash are the characteristics of his concerts and appearance on stage, which are shaped by his endless beauty, sometimes translucent, sometimes sensual, sometimes angelic !!! Dimash is storm, thunder, lightning, sun, rain, smile, but also love and last but not least he is our hope and our daily light, he is our spiritual food when you put your head on the pillow and start dreaming like tomorrow it's a day… !!!!! Dimash has God's kiss on his heart!!!!
Dimash's cerebral hemisphere are like the mathematics of song. The precision, the climax of the pieces, the breath control, all are mathematical. Nothing higher, nothing lower. Absolute accuracy !!! Not to mention, he has the number of destiny 7, the number of God. One more proof that Dimash is sent by God in the art of love through song!!!

@@BangkokVoiceCoach Dimash will not be commercialized. He will not have anyone tell him what to do and has said that he would not change his choices because anyone told him that it would sell better etc. Mainstream wants to control singers and he would never allow that to happen. He is quite well known all around the world, especially in the east. And South America is begging him to come there. But the USA is another story. Yes, he has many many fans, but he isn't as 'radio worthy'. He recently lived in L.A. for a time and I believe that he learned from American music history. It showed in his China concert on 12/23/23 in his 2 new songs. One is definitely R&B influenced and the other is maybe Mowtown leaning. They are really good. Dimash promised his Spanish-speaking Dears a song in their language, so he composed “El Amor En Ti” and performed it for the first time at the Almaty Concert last fall. The different personas and voices imply a philosophical conversation between states of sorrow and despair because of the darkness of life (black) vs the hopefulness and light that comes from embracing love instead (white) which in turn engage our feelings and touch the heart (red). Dimash's live performance in the last part as a contemporary man against the giant figures which represent different human states of consciousness brings this it into an experience of life lived fully in the moment with all three states present and acknowledged and wholly integrated into the here and now.
Rather than creating cognitive dissonance by presenting opposing views, Dimash creates cognitive consonance, a state of harmony between competing emotions, beliefs and values by blending different voices, traditions, tonalities and styles (even expressed in his dress) into a gorgeous tapestry of sound and color that expresses the rich fullness of life. I was reminded of Walt Whitman’s line from the poem “Song of Myself: ‘I am large, I contain multitudes.’
Dimash does contain multitudes, and his art elevates the conflict from a two-dimensional dark vs light, good vs bad, true vs false question into a three-dimensional experience that frees us to live fully from the heart (hear how his high notes soar above and weave it together) without becoming overwhelmed by life's problems or denying the reality of life's darker aspects. Two dimensional conflicts often paralyze us with feelings of helplessness and despair and limit our ability to respond to life's storms appropriately, but when we get to a higher point of view, embrace a higher state of consciousness at the soul level by tapping into the love and peace within, we become the masters of our lives and not the victims of circumstance, and we can act with passion and confidence in the middle of the storms and, with open hearts, let our love within flow out into the world.
Dimash's stated mission, to bring unity and peace to the world through his art, is very much evident in this piece. Like in "Story of One Sky," he is very intentional about the message that we need to accept all there is and allow all to have a voice and a presence, not to silence or disappear what we do not like or understand, in our selves or in the outer world. The darkness is our reality as much as the light; the work of our lives is to create a harmonious whole through love that expresses our full humanity.
A shout-out to Erlan Bekchurin who arranges most of Dimash’s songs. Close friends since their teen years, Erlan is a genius in his own right, and together they make magic.

👉 The Spanish speaking Dears have been waiting for a Dimash song in their language for a long time... and here it is.
The premiere of the song was at Dimash's 'Stranger' concert on September 23, 2022 in Almaty Central Stadium (the largest sports complex in the Republic of Kazakhstan). Dimash Qudaibergen's solo concert in Almaty sold out gathering 35000 Dears from almost 68 countries.
Dimash composed another masterpiece, an 'exquisite melodic salad' (as a dear put it) with profound lyrics.. It's a song with a wonderful, beautiful melody, in which classical and modern perfectly harmonize and blend... and Dimash sings it in quadruple duplication as a quartet with himself. What is better then one Dimash? For Dimash’s! There can never be enough of Dimash's... grandios!
Not only with his singing, but also with his videos or with his stage sets - Dimash sets new standards... just great!
The authors of the great lyrics are the Mexican Dr. Hildegard Wöhler and the singer-songwriter Regina de Ovando. The music was composed by Dimash Qudaibergen!
Description under the video by Dr. Hilde Wöhler: „The message of the lyrics is an invitation to know the capacity of the language of the human heart and that only from love, consciousness and spiritual growth, is it that we manage to conquer ourselves. It is written about the strength of the kind and generous human heart, which gives us the ability to choose a dignified life with love, light, and respect, and which allows us to thank, appreciate, and enjoy what is given to us from heaven. It talks about the ability that all people have to overcome the tribulations of life, master its temptations and get out of their own darkness. Thanks to the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Mexico for its invaluable management.“

Loved your reaction, William! Thank you for trying and trying to bring the reaction to us again. So sorry to hear you are having so much trouble with UA-cam! The covering of the video is not a problem at all, since we know his videos pretty well. Plus, you provide a link to the original performance. I come to hear your professional review and explanations. That’s how I learn about the vocal art (Dimash’s). So, thank you! ❤🙏

There is on his channel a recording of a concert in Almaty, pear, at 25:30 with his opening speech. It was indescribable! Thanks!

Yes, it was overwhelming to see it in Almaty, as others have pointed out, after the premiere of Story of One Sky, which emotionally slayed the audience. Plus 60 ft high black Dimash was causing most of us to feel faint anyway.
In reflection, it might have been better if it was somewhere else during the concert, the two pieces were almost too much one after the other.
You must see Dimash live, if you ever can, such an amazing experience on every level.

Dear William, as you already know, Dmitri Hvorostovsky is one of Dimash's role models and you've made profound connection between Dimash and Dima whose influence on Dimash is so obvious in every aspect of his stage performances. Please, promote to the younger public glorious Dmitri Hvorostovsky by reacting to some of his performances which will benefit and widen modern day generation musical introspective. Thanks for being here, sincere respect for your passion and commitment.

Now William, that was a reaction befitting this uber magnificent performance - actually FOUR performances!! I love that you're not afraid to show your enthusiasm, reactors usually are extremely impressed but they sort of stay too reserved about it - on this one, im absolutely freaking out the whole time, & its a little disappointing when the reactor's not as excited as I am. I have a feeling this isn't a first time reaction, but it makes for a better analysis if it's not the 1st time. Reaction = 1st time is best. Analysis = the more familiar you are with it, the better. This is a favorite of favorites for me, I go into an insane ecstasy when I hear this!! Thanks for the fabulous analysis!🙏👏👏👏👍

Apart from his incredible singing, I did love the change of cloth colours as he changes octaves, especially the last 4th one which is almost "pop". I suddenly saw his shoes and white socks - Michael Jackson. But if I hadn't seen him on stage at the beginning of the video, I would never have believed it was Dimash sing baratone (he looks too young..... He's simply out of this world.

I was thrilled the first time I heard it.
It is still chilling and thrilling to hear and see is.
Speaking of Hovrostovsky, before I go to bed at night, I listen to two songs.
Dimitri singing Leningrad and Avi Kaplan singing O Holy Night caught on a fancam
12-15-2022. Avi, though classically trained, handles the song much differently from your average singer. First, he is a basso profundo and has settled into a much more folk, Americana, country/western style of singing.
For some reason, these two singers with these two songs settle me.
