The composer reveals: “Riga Organum duo” perfectly masters the nuances and stylistic peculiarities of different musical styles and eras, and a prominent place is always given to contemporary music. In creating this piece, I wanted to address the audience and bring forth the delicate feeling of the Song and Dance festival that took over Riga in summer 2023 - both locally and on an international scale. In terms of character, the varied possibilities of the organ - the contrasts and similarities, the strength and subtlety of different registrations, as colourfully and saturated as possible, - are shown in different parts of the suite. Particular attention is paid to the characteristics of solo registers. Each of the parts has its own, special charm: both elements of competition, and timbre play with percussion instruments are present.
