At my parents wedding in 1951 the rosary was placed around their hands. It was a high mass with 24 attendants very solemn. Must have been very nearly like this one. Very beautiful way to begin your union in life together. So sorry to see how minimalistic these ceremonies have become without beauty and the liturgy if God in these ties. Than you for posting this reverent occasion for us.

We strongly believe that praying the Rosary everyday will keep us closely together. I agree with you. Weddings have lost many things. Usually the ones getting married just want to get through the Ceremony and Mass (if any) and get to the party or reception as soon as possible. But we decided to do the opposite and put all of our focus and invest more in beautifying the Mass a little more than it already is.

Wow! How God must be loving Mass celebrated His way. Wife was so modest and every woman should watch her and imitate her. No immodest women should be permitted to enter a Church whether it is winter or summer. Time for the Protestant novus ordo to be discontinued.

Imitating Mother Mary’s modesty. Not to mention, her veil is a 3rd class relic touched to the Veil of The Virgin Mary 😃

@@CopperheadAirsoft couples who kiss before exiting Church do it for an unknown reason to me. We chose not to do it inside the house of God for multiple reasons. We chose to do it outside. Out of reverence for the Lord and to not have people clapping inside the house of God. That was our personal choice. The marriage is official before the Mass because the Marriage Rite ceremony takes place before Mass starts. The vows are exchanged and the Priest joins us together in Holy Matrimony in the name of the Father etc.. then after the Marriage Rite, then the Mass begins. Mass is not necessary either.. but that’s another point. Now.. in the modern Novus Ordo.. it’s different. Im not going to pretend like I know. Because I don’t, and frankly I don’t care. I prefer the Sacraments in the Old Rite.
Now this is what a wedding should be.
