To me personally Pavlov weapons are among the best in VR. they might be a bit arcadey but the slightly altered proportions combined with the handling controls just make it super easy to pick up the sights and hit targets.
@@SeanoldBeasley Vanilla contractors? I know the PMC mod guns are top notch but vanilla guns always just felt a bit like toys and had a weird wonky feeling to them. what headset do you use btw? always felt like contractors didn't play nice with VD/Link so that could play a part in it.
@@looopamith9456 I use semi auto for anything farther than 15 meters, This is the game where I switch between full auto and semi auto the most which you have to do with most guns to be effective. luckily it only switches between semi/full auto not safe so it's just 1 button click.
Forgot much of Pavlov over the year. Honestly thought it was infested with kids and sweat lords. Glad to see the experience still looks enjoyable at least now even for the Quest version

I like pcvr Pavlov quest not so much. Honestly I don't even like the quest , there's so much more games om pcvr and mod support and visuals i hate it when they merge pcvr and quest vr because everything just becomes worse look at onward now. I'm going to upgrade my quest 2 to a htc vive pro 2

You're bitching for nothing and onward is literally the only game that suffered from adding a quest port cuz they decided to make the pcvr version the exact same so it would be easier to integrate multiplayer between the two. Every developer saw what happened and learned from their mistake. And quest 2 to vive pro 2 isn't the best choice with quest 3 out now. Vive pro 2 has barely better resolution, but that gets ruined with its fresnel lenses while q3 has pancake lenses with 200-400 pixels short of vp2 resolution. Then theres the mixed reality. Then there's the price of of VP2 is $1400 to q3 $500. And that moving from quest means you move from their ecosystem where a lot of exclusive and worth it games are. Especially for big game studios like ubisoft making assassins creed vr for quest. You do you but you might wanna dive into some more research. I'm pretty sure Pico is the top contender with Q3
I was playing the same map and gamemode for a couple weeks too on 24+- player servers. To a funny coincidence, I was using the same weapon setup and the same tactical approach XD. The game truly shines when your teammates are on-board with your ideas. Good work out there!
Wireless VR is still the absolute DREAM for me. I gave up playing standing VR games a few years ago because of how constantly immersion-breaking cable management was. On the other hand, standalone tracking of controllers back then was simply leagues below base stations so I never got onto the Quest train (that and I absolutely hate Oculus runtime on my PC). Perhaps it's about time I gave Quest 3 a shot.
I can't go back to wired VR since I converted to wireless when the Q2 released. I bought the Q3 and even though I know there are headsets with better visuals I'm happy to sacrifice that for wireless.
If I could get this good of combat like you I would totally have much more milsim fun in Pavlov. Most Pavlov players don’t really take these maps or servers very seriously and they just do what ever and mess around at the home base instead of attacking the enemy. I love Pavlov. The WW2 stuff is amazing. I spent a whole match the other day driving a tank for a guy on the gun who was killing it. Best VR game in my opinion.
Pavlov is still my favorite VR game, ever since it's vanilla launch on PC, years ago. AAA Single-Player games come and go, but Pavlov is forever. Even after more sophisticated games, like Ghosts of Tabor, Contractors, etc, Pavlov is still just so addictive and fun in a way that none of those will ever be.

I played it on launch for months and they still couldn't fix it. every single update just broke a ton of other things and didn't even "fix" the things they claimed it did. I gave up a long time back. I could see that this is how development would continue. I might revisit it at some point, but nah...not even close, plus it's a completely different style of game.

I'm surprised at how good it looks on Quest 3. If I could justifiably compare the PCVR and PSVR2 version to a PS4/Xbox One game, then the Quest 3 version's graphics are on par with PS3 and Xbox 360...and we all know many of the games from both those consoles still hold up well today.

Nice video. If you gonna revisit Pavlov in the future I recommend trying out Push servers on PC. They are usually populated on weekends, even some can be full. There's also Resurgence server on PC, which is extraction with infinite ammo. It's better to play with a buddy or more, and sometimes the server can be full. For weapon choice based on your gameplay, you should use m16/aug or sks/scar. m16/aug shoot in 3 round burst, which is controls nicely. They kill in 5 shots to the body and in 2 shots to the head with helmet. They have great long-range accuracy compared to ak47, ak12, m4. ak12 is actually only good in CQB thanks to high RPM, compared to other full-auto rifles. sks/scar shoots in semi-auto. They kill in 3 shoots to the body and in 1 shot to the head with helmet. They have great long range accuracy or even better than m16/aug.
I honestly can’t tell the difference moving from quest 2 to 3. The only thing that stands out that’s different is the color pass through, which is awesome. I don’t feel like the games look a whole lot different.

Hi .. I got a question. I am thinking about buying the Q3 but mainly for the PCVR and mainly playing Singleplayer FPS like H3VR. My Question is regarding tracking, how does it hold when you are aiming? ... Of course I assume If I would aim like a Doom Guy from original doom (shoving a gun through my throat) that I would most likely lose tracking, but did you have during your Game time any issues with Tracking on your controllers? Something like one of the controllers deciding that it goes to the adventure and drifts away and that kind of stuff :D

i don't know the server but the map is called "Desert" and it is very popular at the moment so there is a lot of servers hosting this map

I am thinking about buying the Q3 but mainly for the PCVR and mainly playing Singleplayer FPS like H3VR. My Question is regarding tracking, how does it hold when you are aiming? ... Of course I assume If I would aim like a Doom Guy from original doom (shoving a gun through my throat) that I would most likely lose tracking, but did you have during your Game time any issues with Tracking on your controllers? Something like one of the controllers deciding that it goes to the adventure and drifts away and that kind of stuff :D
I've had virtually zero tracking issues unless it's very dark or the controller is straight up behind my back.

You can crank smoothing effect in capture settings on the Quest 3.
