is it possible to section hike the PCT through Oregon or Washington, without hitchhiking? or are there breaks in the trail?
Ya that's possible for both states. The trail is continuous... I hitched out to buy food. I could have had packages sent to places on trail though, and then not hitched. Happy to answer any other questions as you plan.
