Interesting. Forget just a Moment that there is nothing that trump and arelian habe in common. It looks like the maker of These video wants the USA to be ruled by an emperor instead of a republic. He could have chosen any political from the time of the Roman republic to compare him with trump but no he compared him with an emperor and not even an emperor of the prinzipat but an emperor of the early dominat. When the empire became much more autocratic. The maker of this video compared trump with a dominat emperor and things something like that should rule. He just admitted that does not believe in democraty.

After they assassinated Aurelian, they found out about the forgery and tied the secretary to a tree in the woods where he was eaten alive by wolves (though it's far more likely he died of starvation/dehydration).

Oh yeah, I know that. It wasn’t nearly as systemic, which is why I am easily able to look past it and acknowledge Aurelian for the great emperor he was. He really did a lot for the people of the time and helped the west stay together for a long time just from his 5-year reign. Imagine if he could’ve reigned for 10,15,or even 20 years, how much better off the Empire would’ve been.
Additionally, Aurelian was the first Emperor to not only tolerate the Christians in his reunification... but he even had influence on their communities that asked for the Emperors aid and protection.
Christian's before Constantine relied on the goodwill of the Emperor for protection.
Aurelian was the first to engage in their religious disputes, acting as an authority figure.

But since you're talking about barbarians, you're right, Caesar killed a lot more than Aurelian. Aurelian didn't even kill the citizens of Palmyra after they revolted the second time. He just evacuated the city, had his soldiers plunder it, then razed it to the ground.

Cao Minhnhat He conquered a territory through war. He didn’t just walk in a kill or enslave everyone he saw. The Gauls weren’t innocent bystanders put to the slaughter. They had a history of killing romans before, during, and after Caesar. He conquered them, which in antiquity meant death and enslavement to the conquered. Roman prisoners were treated equally as horrible by Gauls too. Pretty simple really, if you were loyal to Caesar and Rome, life goes on. If you put up armed resistance, you get bested by one of the greatest generals of all time.

While this is a great meme, I think Trump is more similar to Tiberius or Domitian. Hated by the people due to propaganda, but despite this they left their countries stronger. They all vastly improved their countries economy, and effectively administrated. Also, specific to Trump and Tiberius, they both had really shitty and insane successors!
