Hahah most likely. The 991 GT3RS will rub from the factory in its full sport mode. Porsche even admits they think the customers will trade some rubbing for a couple seconds on the track. Cheers
nice, but maybe take it to a race track to get the best out of it.. and to be able to heel and toe downshift with a car like that with a proper manual box is what that car should be about.
next someone will tell you stop with that steering wheel BS, buy an ancient 2018 Porsche if you still want to turn a wheel. On a track, a computer steering will get the curves apex better than you ever can. Same continuation of the argument for suppressing manual transmission.
Michael Kastner - I agree completely. I’ve driven the RS on track. The PDK is superb and the “right tool for the job”. You need both hands on the steering and PDK lets you do that. The moaning in all the comments about ‘it should be manual” is absurd. This is a street legal race car. It’s built to be as fast as possible around a track and still be able to drive to and from the track on public roads. Anyone who thinks manual transmission is anywhere near as fast as PDK has obviously never driven a car with PDK. So to argue against it when you haven’t tested it is ignorant. There are plenty of other non-track focused 911s that have manual. But the GT3 and especially the RS are made for PDK. But people whine so Porsche accommodates. All that means is there will be GT3s in circulation now that are crippled with manual transmissions. What is the point of that. Collectors will buy them believing they are more valuable - and never drive them. Just a waste of a great car.
+Alphonso Cabrera Porsche uses that number to indicate what generation the car is. 964 (1990-1993) 993 (1993-1998) 996 (1998-2005) 997 (2004-2012) 991 (2013-present)
But why would I choose this over a turbo S? The Turbo S is faster off the line and has a larger top speed. Its also 4WD so I could drive it during the swedish winters aswell.
AlexanderTheGod It is the more civilized choice. RS is trackdays car. Much more sports car for the public road then vice versa... And to be honest I'll take the old Boxter S. There is no much place on public roads to explore the GT4 capability and hardly believe it worth it to have such hardcore car for... I don't know may be 10 days in the year when I'll go to the track... Boxter S will be win / win combination less money for more everyday joy of driving :)
Benzinio True, but then again a boxter is a cabriolet, and is not very usable on a daily basis, and if u are gonna spend money on a Boxster S you might aswell get a manual 911 with acouple options on it.
wow.
nicely done video.
you give it the attention it deserves
really a great car.
playing this video at 1.25 speed, his voice sounds normal
i disagree, his use of words is excellent for that pace. Fast talkers who babble can be annoying like Chris Harris.
lol
that engine soundtrack is the BEST EVER!!!
Well, maybe not next to a V10 R8.
Wouldn’t you at least put the front lift system down before a photo shoot?
100% agree noticed it right away
One of best wideos about dis beast............
Folks your videos have improved so much over time. Really nice work.....amazing car.
Red Smith pl
Mooi gestroomlijnde auto en puur .
Such a great car
please tell me that they left the air lift system in the front up... if that's a wheel gap from factory then...
Hahah most likely. The 991 GT3RS will rub from the factory in its full sport mode. Porsche even admits they think the customers will trade some rubbing for a couple seconds on the track. Cheers
i have a grey one its great!
Great vid boys!!
Ummm, why you had the front up?
I gotta drive one of these.
Most gt3rs have always been housed in the Turbo body shell. I am not sure about the 996 version tho.
this could be a daily driver
nice, but maybe take it to a race track to get the best out of it.. and to be able to heel and toe downshift with a car like that with a proper manual box is what that car should be about.
I strongly support that. Doing it with my M3 with 8,400 RPM redline naturally aspirated V8,
The real question is, where can you drive at 300km/h in Australia? (apart from racetracks)
Anywhere you like
Who's better? This or 911 turbo s?
Hot car my dream car
I wrote down my goal to get this car, I believe I will get it haha
What road is that?
+sam cruiza - Old Pacific Highway north of Sydney
Stop with all the manual BS, It is a track car designed to go fast around a track. Buy a 911R or a GTS if you want to shift gears

Totally agree VW. The majority of people crapping on about the manual vs pdk debate have never even driven these cars.
Should I buy a GT3 RS people please help me chose. If I do get one it will be the same spec of that GT3 RS.
The turbo S has ceramic brakes as standard... Gt3 RS is optional..
They're more worried that you crash the turbo than the Gt3RS
YAAAAASSS! WHAT A CAR
mine is yellow with purple dots
Stop the 🧢
Why is it 991

Nothing like it? Try Japanese sportbikes since the early 90s.

Dat wing...
Because this is a drivers car... that's why it should have proper manual gearbox.
But in this case. It does not. So the Turbo S is a way better choice.
And if you want a drivers car from Porsche, just get the Cayman GT4.
