Once again I am impressed with the meticulous work on In Strict Confidence. This video and its song make my skin freeze. My eyes could not leave the screen. The meaning of this song is very attached to my own perspective towards the human system of life.
to a misanthropic, depressed, and anti-social person such as I, this song methinks represents the distant dream of rejoining humanity. that and a warning if one could get lost in for lack of a better term unhappiness and hate. after all whatever you may feel it's too late. but that's just my interpretation or some such, take it and misinterpret it as you will
I was about to say something, but then noticed that kreaux already said it. I have these freaky ways... I may actually read what others have noticed and possibly even learn from it. And the video? It is a very accurate description. Of what, well, you know - if you're born as one.
I like to think that this vid speaks alot about veterans, and how it seems once society is done with them they're forgotten or used. The pall bearers look like veterans themselves. Maybe they respect one of their own? The 'mourners' in the back, with a drunk drummer, a woman looking in the mirror all the time, and a young boy carrying the gun and helmet. The young girl is the only one that remembered the rose the veteran died reaching for. Maybe everyone needs to be healed, not just the vet.
I have the same opinion as scottg4520. While they are marching, it kinda reminds me of the video of 'Man that you fear'. And the whole feeling of the video too. dropxdeadxdinosaur: I doubt Manson's fuckin' mainstream...even if he is, nor he nor the true Manson fans give a fuck about it. I love his work, from his very first EP to the very last CD! And I think In Strict Confidence is just another great band! No need to talk shit about bands and musicians that you don't like. Just shut up! ^^
Isn’t it true that every honest German is ashamed of his government these days? Who among us has any conception of the dimensions of shame that will befall us and our children when one day the veil has fallen from our eyes and the most horrible of crimes-crimes that infinitely outdistance every human measure-reach the light of day? ” - From the first leaflet of the White Rose
